The declaration is fine .. I’m just not sure which category I fall under .. coz the exemption for returning residents is like CAD 800 but I never really left anything behind .. everything I carried there I carried back with me since I was there only for a week .
So what I would like to know is if I would be taxed .The jewelry I refer to is the one I wear on my body not something I’ll carry separately.
Do advise .

But you said you are carrying over $10,000 in cash and gold...even returning residents must declare it. If you are wearing jewelry that is fine.

yes I meant the gold I wear plus the cash would be well over CAD 10k if that’s fine then it’s great.
