WOW! that's taking so looooong. Are you receiving help from a lawyer? I did everything by myself but I have submitted so many applications that I am very familiar with the process. I just had help by reviewing the documents and making sure everything was correct but I have been doing the rest.

I did not, should I seek help from a lawyer? I am still on closed work permit and I have no idea what will be my next move, I’ve been here for 3.5years.

I have friends that are just applying through different processes and their applications are being updated and going faster than mine for sure!

I wish we could make a new application but it won’t b worth it now. Doing Lmia will b long process also. They left us no choice but to wait.

That’s correct! But sometimes it’s hard to stay positive when you see and hear that IRCC keep processing application from other pathways..

I totally understand, I’m even get recommendations to file for refugee but it makes no sense to switch n lie. There r many who r doing that but it’s pointless especially when we have invested a lot through a study route. It’s just our luck that’s delayed but sooner or later they will have to process our application too.

I applied May 2019 and still in process(security check) .I already completed everything including the medicals. I also tried calling them, sent an email but still no update...Sadly, it’s a waiting game for all of us.

Our file is stuck on criminality check since dec 2019 as per last gcms we got in dec 2020. We didn’t get any medical request either.

I did my medicals more than a year ago(January 2020) and currently stuck on security background check for over a year now. Work permit expires in 3 months together with the msp and I can’t renew my drivers license for more than 3 months.

Hi guys, since all of us are on the same boat, I’m thinking maybe each of us can send an email to CIC asking for an unpdate or just give us the exact processing time for our application category. With the increase number of emails/ query that they will receive regarding the category interim pathway for caregivers, CIC might at least notice our situation then might give us an accurate processing time and be aware that there are applicants waiting longer than expected, without any clear picture on when they will receive the decision.

We have the same situation, I submitted my application way back sept 26, 2019. I am frustrated how the IRCC has no definite timeline/action about our application..
