Anybody having idea how important is to to submit notice of assessment and T4 slip for PR application under CEC if we already have reference letter from employer mentioning the salary? Also how many pay slips are required to be submitted? My husband has to show one full year of Canadian work experience.

You only need to submit the reference letter. It will suffice as long as it meets the IRCC requirements. If you want to add payslips and T4, those are entirely supplementary.

Thanks. Some say that adding T4, NOA and pay slips will make the case strong. We were worried as we have yet to fill out the T4. Could you please also advise that if we have to submit our payslips, should they be of one full year?

Quoting from IRCC: [Link]

“If the work experience is in Canada, proof may include copies of T4 tax information slips and notices of assessment issued by the Canada Revenue Agency (the time period for these documents should reflect the work experience timeframe [e.g., work experience from 2006 to 2008 requires only documents from those calendar years]).”

- says here “May”, doesn’t mean it’s required, so completely up to you. If it’s available, might as well attach.

The employer of your husband supposed to file the T-4 , you don't have to fill in anyforms at all, it's their responsibility

Assuming that taxes, CPP and EI is taken out of his pay chq, and remitted for him by his employer, so they'd be able to give him the T-4, probably around feb/march , don't worry too much, just scanned the T-4 in when he received it.

usually it's given out in Feb/March because tax filing deadline is on Apr 30, but no harm asking the workplace's accounting/payroll dept to see if it's avaliable.

I have a related question regarding PR application under the Home Support Worker Pilot. Looks like T4 and NOA are among the required documents to show 6 months of Canadian work experience. It also says "You can also include any pay stubs, work contracts or job offers.". I've been employed for more than 6 months but my earnings on T4 and NOC are only for 5 months. Can I use my paystubs to show 6 months of employment even though paystub seems to be an optional document?
