Hi all,

I have completed 367 days of NOC B experience from 2 jobs (5weeks + 10months 19 days). Some people suggest to wait for a week or 2 weeks and some people suggest to get full 1 year experience from 1 job. Should I create express entry profile for Canadian Experience Class?

Any help would be appreciated

Thank you

You can add Canadian work experience of less than 1 year to get 1 year full time work experience to be eligible for CEC. From the days you mentioned, looks like you’re good to create an EE profile. The system will automatically assign you to whatever EE program you’re eligible for based on your answers.

It will be 49 weeks today. If I count day by day every month then it will be 369 days today.
Got it. The system only asks for month/year so if you key in your work experience it might grant you one year of experience points already. Is one of your jobs ongoing? You can probably create your EE profile already.

Hello,

One of my friend is in Canada under a closed WP (expires on 2022/02/01). He would like to know if he is eligible for CEC.
1. He went to Canada on 2020/01/30 on closed work permit as a cook (NOC B).
2. On 2020/09/02 he got promoted as Shift Manager (NOC B) and working to date
3. He is working 40/hrs per week since 2020/01/30

He has two questions;
4. Is he eligible for CEC, combining his 8 months exp as a cook + 5 months exp as a shift manager (Or does he need to have 1 year exp in one specific job?)
5. If he is eligible by combining the above work experiences, does he need to have a new job offer, and a new LMIA for current post which is "Shift Manager" ? (OR does the original job offer and LMIA (cook) he had at the time of entering to Canada will be sufficient?)
