IRCC can request PCC from any applicant. For inland, they are not required to submit a RCMP PCC along with the application, but may be asked fo one later in the processing.

  • Police certificates are required upfront and are mandatory for each country (except Canada) where an individual has spent 6 months or more in a row within the last 10 years. The individual does not need to provide one for any period of time before the age of 18.
For inland applications, most are asked for RCMP PCC later in the processing.
and what is the reason for requesting RCMP for some inland applicants, and not for others? There is legend in the forum that says when someone with the same name pops up in their system, IRCC requests RCMP to verify they are two different persons.

I don't think so personnally! I think this is just random.

I wonder if my application is stuck since October and they actually have to request RCMP....because I only passed medicals since for 4th October...and when I caller IRCC they told me nothing started. Only criminality. That was 25 January.

my aor is october 10th, I was requested RCMP end of november. No updates about this ADR since. I believe IRCC can still ask you any ADR at anytime, including RCMP....but it should be at the very beginning from what I read.

yep, I passed med 17 November, and I expected ADR. But nothing...just silence since then...

I am bio exempt, and that time in November I had processing a closed work permit, which was approved 23rd November. Maybe thats the reason....

From what I read when I was requested RCMP : for CEC, IRCC requested it at the very beginning. Looks like other ADR later asked, are resume or travel history ....or PCC from home country. Now it's been 4 months since your AOR, not sure if IRCC will still request RCMP but it is covid so...best is to order gcms notes...but then again you will have to wait for 30 days if not more to get them.

@legalfalcon, I would love your take on this, sir.

I have received the CBSA report I ordered from your website in time. Thank you!

In my report, security is blank (assessment) but it says further in the report that it's not yet started. What does it mean?

I did submit the PCC of my home country despite is was not necessary, just in case. And a bunch of other countries I have lived or visited several times, but always less than 6 months in a row (separated visits more than 6 months). For the 'just in case they dare to ask, I provide them already" lol
