I ordered the note 7 weeks after the card was sent because we had a ghost update. Now that I read again, noticed that the Error at Card Production was since 3 weeks after the card was received. I also see an expiry date for 2025. It's really annoying that the Montreal office is always incredibly slow...I am waiting for my first PR card since 09th June. My photo was delivered on 09th June to Montreal office and nothing since then.
After multiple phone enquiries, I tried to get GCMS report of my PR card case.
I can see that photo was scanned, uploaded and processed and all PR card number, expiration date, rfid tag number etc all got generated in 07th Sept and was sent for printing where it got stuck with "Error at card production" message. So it looks like even though everything is approved, then have no one to print and dispatch over mail to recipients.
Did anyone else ordered a GCMS notes for the PR card case? And any details on the processing times?
Can you actually share the link?Has anyone used the new portal for PR card where you can submit your photo online and it says the pr card will come within a week.? This portal was launched in early december but dont know if it actually works.?
This is so annoying. We need to travel and this means we are forced to come back by land... it means no hotel quarantine for now but this excessive waiting time is just beyond.Anyone from Montreal office recently got his/her PR card approved? An agent told me that the office is closed, but I am aware of at least one person that got his PR Card last week..too bad if they are also lying to us.... Average processing times is now 99 days, I am at 7 months and the only answer I constantly get (phone or webform) is just to wait. In the last webform they even said they are processing the PR Cards by date of reception...so frustrating..
And did it help? What did they tell you? When we email them it was one month after the card was stuck at error at card production, yet all they said is if you dont have a card, you won't be able to board a commercial flight.I was in same scenario so i would suggest you to send email or fax to Montreal office. That’s what i did after waiting for almost 8 months from Halifax office.
Have you checked the GCMS notes? In mine it shows Sydney office even if initially it was sent to Montreal office.what you mean. i am waiting for my first pr card
and this email says
New permanent residents (if you are waiting for your initial card):
Case Processing Centre - PRC
PO Box 4500
Sydney, Nova Scotia
B1P 6L1
i am not asking the two address in that email. i already sent mine to montreal office since they asked me to. now this email says send to nova scotia!
I am just going through all the msg in this thread after having sent an email to Montreal office earlier today. Will send pics asap even if I havent received email yetI'm from Montreal but will send another copy to Nova Scotia tomorrow, as I did not see anyone got his pr card from the Montreal office recently, apparently they are not working
It's even 88 days now. I think it's their office that increase the average processing times. I'm sorry but it's so inefficient. They need to stop blaming everything on CVI also emailed Montreal office last night and very politely explained that I am waiting since July 8th and I re-send my photo in December since I didn't hear anything back.
This is what I got this morning
I don't know what they mean as I explained to them that 7 months has passed and I am very well aware of the fact that processing times is 99 days, but I take it as they have lost my photo or threw it out and they meant to ask me to wait 99 days from the day they recieved the second photo.
I think they introduced a whole new level of irresponsiblity by not taking the time and writing at least one sentence to explain.
When they say that, you just need to call back and try again. It's not because of the option.Thank you! Any specific option you went through? like I chose 2-3-2-0 to reach 'speak to agent' option and every time I do they saying, Due to huge call volumes, they are unable to connect me to an agent.
Can you please share your timeline? Were you waiting for a long time and you contact them again by webform or email, then sent new photos and got your card in a week?I sent my photos by post last week and it was delivered today
Anyway, it was a good try, at least we now know that the Montreal office does not accept soft copies.
Try to land in US and enter by land if you cant wait. That's what we did recently but need to travel again. Just showed the COPRAnybody knows the current processing times for travel authorization. Unfortunately I have to come back to my country for an urgence in the family and because the fuxxx Montreal office is taking 8 months to process my PR card I cannot come back to Canada if I leave....
All provincial gvt dept accept the COPR so I dont see why the employer wouldn't...I received my CoPR letter back in June and already renewed my SIN number with it, but I'm still waiting for my PR card. My question is, has anybody in the same situation changed jobs? Did the employer accept the CoPR letter as PR proof?
Someone said if card is sent together with dependents, they process one and take forever to process the other onesUpdate on Winnipeg IRCC
- My Spouse received her PR Card yesterday. We mailed our photos together on June last year. Mine is still in Limbo..
- There was ghost update and correspondence letter came in Online account on Feb 5, 2021.
- Half job done after 8 months..
Do you have email address for Montreal office?I am just going through all the msg in this thread after having sent an email to Montreal office earlier today. Will send pics asap even if I havent received email yet
