New Mandatory Travel Restrictions - Any recent Travellers?

Hi. Is there anyone who travelled recently to canada and went through the new mandatory travel restrictions? Please share your experience here.

The hotel quarantine policy has not been implemented yet. If you are talking about current rules about Covid testing, you test before you leave your country and depending where you land, you test at the airport.

Do you have to make 2 separate bookings then like if final stop is not one of the 4 main cities? 1 from india to main city like Toronto and then Toronto to where ever like Winnipeg for eg. I'm guessing we can only book after negative test is received, what if the results dont come back till 3rd day or it comes back in 1 day... do you still pay $2000 mandatory charge?

Still unclear. I would be booking for the 3rd day when booking your original ticket. Wouldn't book a morning flight to make sure you have the results in time. If the airline has open seats on other flights to the same destination it is usually easy to change your flight. Given the situation would assume the airlines have likely agreed to accommodate changes after leaving the quarantine hotel as long as there is availability on their airline to the same destination.

I will be travelling on the 26th Feb. For the hotel booking it will be available to book for 3 days starting tomorrow. After 3 days I believe they will drop you off at the airport than you finish remaining quarantine @ home or designated location. I have booked remaining 11 days @ another hotel but yes you will need to book 3 days than book remaining 11days @ hotel or home.

yes that is provided your result is negative within 3 days if positive you will be moved to a facility... they do not specify what the cost is at that point, etc
