Is there a problem for CEC draw while only 5 months is left from my visa?

I have a situation. My passport, visa and work permit will be expired on mid-July. I can extend them, but I want to create my profile on March for CEC first and then extend them. Will there be a problem?

You can update your profile as much as you want. If you receive the new passport and you are not yet invited, you can update the info easily. I think once you are invited, you will need to submit a webform to change the details of the old passport to the new

So,

• I wait to create my profile with current passport and wp.
• Then I apply for extension
• Then if I invited I can update profile with new passport and new wp and send a webform.

You will only need the new passport. You dont include any work permit number on your EE profile.

Yes, so when you receive your 1-year Canadian work experience, you can create your profile.

When you receive your new passport, you can update it into the system for EE easily (if not yet invited). If you have a work permit extension going, or if you are invited for the CEC and you receive your new passport, then you will need to submit the webform
