Forgive me for not knowing any better. I don't usually bring up religion and politics in public forums on immigration matters. Congrats to OP for getting invited for a test in 3 months, I guess Jehovah did come thru. Context like this is helpful lol since Jehovah will probably not subject you to 3 years of background checks.

Only thing I know about @blingyrie was his completely insensitive comments in the not so long past (about two weeks ago) such as: "It’s a bad idea because we are not shrinks. There’s a thin line between sharing and seeking counselling when needed. So help us by not dumping here as many of us are coping with worse situations than waiting for citizenship <1yr."

Little did we know, he was sealing the deal on UP while telling people to shut up and wait. The irony.

Yes, I'm sure there are worse situations than waiting for just over 3 months (<1yr) to get your test invite. I'm sorry you endured a little over 3 months @blingyrie. Be mindful of your insensitive comments to applicants complaining about delays. Privilege is not an excuse. I'm not even going to worry about how UP was finessed.

Only response I have to this tirade is “go get your UP if it’s going to make you feel better”. No more from me.

Thanks. I'll also incorporate some prayers to Jehovah in my application. LOL. Perhaps a few photos of me praying really hard and some tear drops might do the trick. And then go and shun people away if they complain or seek assistance. Let me know if I got the general idea in check?

You might want to change your username to: <1yr.

Sent an urgent request via webform. Got a reply after 10 days that they have verified the information and sent it to the concerned officer. Does it mean urgent request is accepted ? Or its a generic reply ?
No, it means they pulled up your application, checked the information you provided, and then forwarded your request to the relevant office who would then have to make a decision whether to approve or decline the said request.

Hi,

Here is my situation:

Myself and wife both are June 2019 applicants, we received our citizenship test on 20 January 2020 and we both cleared the test with 20/20 marks. We both were interviewed on the same day -Jan 20,2020 and thought that we might get oath soon but then Covid happened and things started getting delayed. We didn't get oath invite till October 2020 and then I started sending them case specific inquiry but in vain. They were just replying with standard reply that delayed due to covid .In the meantime I was offered a job in USA so I sent webform for urgent processing and the reason I gave them was fake (federal job).I got oath request but again twist in the story-Only myself got an oath invite but not for my wife.
Now the scenario is I have become Canadian citizen in November 2020 and moved to USA and still waiting for oath for my wife and she is in Canada.

Our Visa office is Edmonton. We have sent them a number of case specific inquiry but they are just sending std. reply that process is delayed due to covid.

Experts please advise -what can be done. Last time my wife sent a case specific inquiry stating that husband moved to USA for job so requested to approve oath but again same std.reply.

Thanks,

3 months ago I received the email confirming my UP request was being directed to a specific department. Ever since, no news. What do you think this means?

Check with IRCC agent over phone where the file is currently , if it's in Sydney still.they are reviewing.
Can you share your timeline . Easy to figure it out based on your ECAS progress sometimes

Looks to me like your status change to inprocess after you sent the UR request as your in progress is on 15- Dec-2020 and UR on 05-Nov -2020.

Your file should be in local office, it's long wait and I think you can request gcm notes as you started your application During Aug 2019.

Did you check with IRCC agent t about your BC and security checks.! Are they completed.?

Sorry, I did not understand your 1st sentence?

I had requested gcm notes, which I received right before they sent me finger print request... Looking into it, it is clear they had last touched my file in Dec 2019.

I contacted IRCC a week ago inquiring on the status via web form but still no answer.

Sent an inquiry through urgent processing webform if my urgent request was accepted or not. This is what i got. I assume it is a generic that is sent to anyone who is asking questions?
Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We verified the information you provided and can confirm that your application is still in process.

All the required documents and information have been received by the responsible office for the moment.

Rest assured that you will be informed as soon as a decision is reached or if additional information is needed.

Furthermore, we can process applications for citizenship urgently in some cases.

If you feel that your situation may be considered urgent, we invite you to choose the type of application you would like to have processed urgently and follow the instructions.

An officer will evaluate your request and determine if the application can be processed on an urgent basis.

*If you have already submitted an application for a search of the citizenship records or to renounce Canadian citizenship and now need urgent processing, when filling out the Web form, please:
