I’ll soon be giving my biometrics and I wanted to know what are the differences between normal and premium services offered by vfs. Is it worth spending around 3k to get premium services and if so then what are the distinct features which will help me.
My agent advised me not to get it as it’s practically useless. Thoughts??

I didn't go for it. They almost made me to choose premium lounge, but immediately after some minutes I changed my decision. I personally didn't see any difference in this service, except SMS tracking for passport delivery, refreshments etc. SMS service you can opt separately when you request for passport pickup. Perhaps, others who availed this service can explain here more, but for me I didn't prefer it.

Was there a time difference between people who took premium service and others who didn’t opt for it regarding time taken to give biometrics?

Hey, I think giving your biometrics has nothing to do with premium and normal. In my case, I received my biometric request from Delhi immigration office irrespective of these services, and I didn't even know that premium service exist when I booked my appointment in November. I was only asked whether I want this service or not, when I visited the VFS office to give my biometrics, where the employee was in front of the office was asking me if I want this PL service. If I said I need it, I would have to pay the around 3000 INR at the spot to avail this service. So, at the VFS office, you will be given the option to decide. I don't about current situation, when I gave biometrics in November 2020, this was the case. I hope you got my point.

3,000 what ? Complaining & comparing over 30$ ?. Its totally useless and pointless to discuss anything regarding this as it's irrelevancy beyond absurd. Maybe ones who debate over this may most probably be having a hard time deciding. I gave my biometrics in another country, didn't create a thread and complain/compare regarding every single step.

Personally I wouldn't opt for anything unless its premium, it's a no brainer since its a tiny amount. Maybe some like to discourage by pinning down/creating threads such as this one against a premium service. Hope the message gets through.

Are you talking to me? I didn't create this thread. Personal opinion always matter, one has to have self realization before coming to a conclusion on any aspects with regard to visa/immigration in Canada. I hope everyone are mature enough to take a self-decision rather worrying about others comments on particular issue. I do prefer not a take a premium service anywhere at any situation and will have the right to say to anywhere. There isn't any law yet to put down personal opinion in public forum.

Not you just in general. I understand you are replying to topic thread that is at fault.

@Naresh_PlantSci Exactly there is no law. Off to delivering more conclusions since mine are being favoured by a lot. Wonder whom are you referring though. Maybe the OP ?

Tf you mean? I’ve heard people saying it’s just a way to rip people of their hard earned money and I’m entitled to ask people about their experiences and opinions. Just because I spent thousands of dollars on tuition, doesn’t mean I’m a rich snob who would buy premium service wherever I go! If you don’t have anything worthwhile to say then don’t comment. Have a nice day and dw I won’t entertain any of your messages from now on

at the time of biometric, they will give you all the details. I think, your agent is correct.
G'day. What a nice day it is today for hitting the last nail in the coffin regarding the topic. However the agent is right regarding the technicality as it makes no difference but 30$ ? even a street urchin can pay that. I hope people make the right self-decision like @Naresh_PlantSci said before getting conclusive straight off the bat regarding what one is referring to instead being focusing never-endingly on inconsiderate matters than the topic thread at fault.

Again, I'm not here to say/decide what is fault or not. This thread deserves my opinion and I'm done with it.

As my answer reads, it is purely untargeted, and I made sure it addresses my personal perspective relevant to the reply that I got in a very general way.

My dad is applying for visitor visa and he did pay for the premium lounge services. My question is do they help arrange pickup of the passport from his home coz he stays quite far away from the visa office. If nothing else, I would say its worth the money if they atleast provide pickup services. Please advise. Thank you
