After 5 years in Canada, I finally became a permanent resident!

CEC inland + 1 dependent
AOR: July 7
Biometrics request: Aug 31
Biometrics submitted: Dec 2
CoPR: Feb 11
VO: Ottawa

Called IRCC earlier that day to check my application status. They said it was approved, and that I'll receive the CoPR in couple weeks. It was a surprise to receive it the same day.

Hope y'all receive the golden email soon!
Congrats!!!

Hi all, I got email from my consultant about file being approved and it shows copr number at bottom starting with T.
Does anybody know how long will it take to get actual copr?
Thanks

Hey guys—July 21 applicant here—i had submitted my biometrics Nov 24th and nothing has happened since and I’m starting to get concerned. A company reached out to me in Montreal asking to work and I’ve been out of work since October and so would need to move by April—It wouldn’t be a long contract and I do plan on residing in Vancouver long term, but could this damage my PR? I don’t even have a difficult application and I’ve seen others get their background checks cleared relatively quickly from the US. I called IRCC to ask if they needed anything more from me due to no update and it saying “we need additional documents” but they said everything is fine on my end and to just wait. Has anyone gone through this before with temporarily moving provinces for a job? Thank you guys

Hey everyone! Just received COPR today and wanted to share my timeline for anyone who wants reassurance.

Category: CEC Inland
AOR: July 8th, 2020
Passed Medical: August 27th, 2020
COPR: February 13th, 2021

I received no other updates right up to my 6 month mark (Jan 8th). I gave it another week and then called IRCC because I was getting nervous. The agent was super nice and told me everything was fine, and that my eligibility was a recommended pass. I tried to be calmer after that as I knew some people have been waiting for up to a year, yet I still checked my application every day.

For the last week or so I noticed a lot of ghost updates. I didn't get any emails but I noticed my application would say updated under 'current status', yet when I clicked into the application nothing had changed. Maybe this meant they were looking at/working on my application?

This morning I logged on, saw what I assumed was another ghost update (especially because it's Saturday) and to my surprise saw that everything else had been passed all at once, and that I have COPR!

Anyway I highly recommend calling IRCC (1-888-242-2100) if you are nervous like I was. My application was kinda complicated as I work in film and have had multiple employers, so hearing that my eligibility was a recommended pass was a huge relief.

Congrats! Thanks for sharing. IRCC is really working on Saturday! Good to know!

Hi guys, I received a message this morning to provide my CV, schedule A, and study history form. The problem is that I have a space to upload schedule A and CV, but there is not any space for uploading the study history (in which I should answer 7 questions).

Should I merge the study history and CV in one file? or call them and ask them to add another entry for it?

Hey could you please post the seven questions asked under study history?
