Biometric amount reversed

Hi guys, I did apply for TRV from within canada on December 18th, two days back my account got credited with 85 dollars from IRCC, I think its the biometric amount. Does anybody had a similar experience.

That is the biometric amount. If you are exempt from it due to COVID exemptions, they are refunding.

What does it mean by covid exemptions, does it apply to everyone who haven't done bio metrics and is waiting for an approval on their application.
