my application was delivered by Canada post on Feb 28th. Official ARO is still awaited. I got an email reminder from CIC to submit the file. Have anyone else got the reminder email.

any idea about the time line for ARO ?

The friendly email reminder is sent to everyone, whether you have already submitted or not. The letter clearly states this info.

Hi,

My parents have recently made a joint Marriage Affidavit in India, in lieu of marriage certificate. I wanted to attach an Explanation Letter stating that Marriage Affidavit is attached in lieu of Marriage Certificate.

My question is whether the sponsor (i.e. me) need to sign that explanation letter or my father (primary applicant) needs to sign that explanation letter? Can some guide me on it.

I think they did the same in the previous years as a reminder. I don't believe that they will check their mailroom packages before they select to send a reminder email or not.

Do I (sponsor) need to fill in the sepearte imm5406 form, for myself.my spouse, my children information?

One more question, regarding imm5406 form, shall I add myself (sponsor) to the section B. Write the personal details for your children.(even if they are already permanent residents or citizens of Canada)

According to this, I need to add my info. to the 5406.section B. and then fill in a separate 5406 form, am I right?

I checked the 5772 document, 5406.section B are designed for the principle applicant's dependents children. I (sponsor) am not a dependent child, so I DO NOT need to fill in the section B. I do not need to fill in a separated imm5406 form.

Am i right? Please advice.

Are people able to file 2020 taxes already? Because that's important for sponsorship approval.

Depends if they have their tax slips. The fact that NOA2020 is one of the reasons I have concerns about the person reporting they already have AOR and sponsor approval.

I submitted my T4s and gave them consent to check with CRA
