Observed that now my current status shows 'Submitted' instead of 'Action Required' as I have still not provided the Biometrics. Today I completed 1 month of receiving BIL.
Only the message has changed from "We need your fingerprints to process your application. Check your messages below for details." to "We have not received your fingerprints. Check your biometrics request message below for details.".
Has anyone else faced the same issue?

This update or transition is normal for ppl who have not given Biometrics after one month of getting the BIL letter. Nothing to worry about.

Great!! Appreciated for that quick response. Not sure if from now onwards whenever I give my biometrics will it directly get updated on my CIC account or get delayed in updation as I already crossed a month.
(Yeah, that's true that there are many who are waiting way long for it)

When to order GCMS notes?

The GCMS refer to the programmed called Global Case Management System (GCMS) used by IRCC that holds the entire processing record of your application, including the the notes pertaining to eligibility by an officer evaluating your file.

All applications go through the following stages:

R10
Medicals
Criminality
Eligibility
Security

R10 or the completeness check is the first stage of the processing, wherein it is verified that your application is complete and all documents are submitted. Filing a complete application is the responsibility of the application, and if a document is missing, a reason and an exemption request should be filed.

If an application is incomplete, it will be rejected. R10 usually happens within 30-45 days of filing your application, around the time when medicals are passed. The exact date will be available in your GCMS notes.

There is no point requesting GCMS notes at this stage, since if your application is incomplete, it will be rejected anyway, and for the medicals, the MyCIC account does inform you of when your meds are passed.

GCMS notes become important only for the eligibility stage, which does not start until 3-4 months. Eligibility takes place in 2 stages. First a case assistant or an analyst will review and make a recommendation. This is then reviewed by an officer who makes the final decision on the eligibility. Since each document you submitted has to be reviewed twice, this is the most time consuming stage.

Only for this stage are the GCMS notes relevant.

I have not given the biometrics.
But received RPRF.

What is current wait times for GCMS notes compared to CBSA notes ?

Both agencies IRCC and CBSA have to release the GCMS notes within 30 days in accordance with the Access to Information Act. However, CBSA receives way less requests as compared to CBSA and thus have a faster processing time. Between October-December, there are rampant delays, however, starting January 2021, IRCC is releasing the GCMS notes within 30 days and not sending extensions.

As regards CBSA, the notes too are released within 30 days, some in as little as 20 days, but differs from case to case.

Yes, there is no such requirement that it cannot and this cane due to local knowledge requirement for verifications or just work load distribution.

Hi,

I'm FSW-Inland, AOR Nov 17th.

• On Dec 22, I got ADR for a Police Cert, which I uploaded on Jan 6th, 2021 -> The status under Additional Doc shows: "The additional document you uploaded has been received".
• Then more than 3 weeks later, on Jan 29th, the status changed to "Not Applicable".
• Again, 1 week later, on Feb 5th today, I received an email from CIC saying "We got your document! Thank you".

Why are the a gap between the last 2 events? I thought when Status changes to NA, they have received the doc?
Also, does that mean they are reviewing the doc now?
