This is about Express Entry

It looks like we still need more than half in-person classes and an 8-months in Canada time to collect that 30 points from Canadian Education, even during COVID19.

At least our school is not offering in-person educations any time soon.

Is there anything we can do about this at all???

So what do you want to do about it now. What's done is done. Suggest you to deal with it as everyone is aware that online learning holds no value even if its done before April 30, 2021. Companies won't prefer online learnt candidates. Everyone knew about this before deciding to go online. Tainted qualifications won't hold for long regardless for claiming CSR points or for worldly purposes.

Does this apply for people studying online in Canada? I'm sure if you have a canadian study permit it counts for the express entry points. Distance learning is learning where one doesn't require a study permit..?

Yes more than half in-person classes and an 8-months in Canada time to collect 30 points from Canadian Education. Earlier it used to be 50% limit before April 30, 2021. It's changed now.

So basically 50%+ in class, out of which the 50% must be more than 8 months.
Any clue if Canadian colleges/universities have offline classes currently? Or are they all still online?

Not all are online. Usually ones easy to get into are online, ones with hard admission criterion are in person and costs more than the usual rate. At least 18k to 19k per year.

Hopefully by mid 2021, all are offline Online classes are a waste and you barely learn anything.

Care to name your "qualified hard to get into" schools that offers offline studies? Even top CS programs such as waterloo or U of T were offline...

Hard in the sense not by merit, competitive admission in general i.e because of in person classes. Supply & demands created by COVID-19.

Whatever, my classes are fully in person I'm glad I didn't opt for online. Online is for the weak.
