Hi all. Hope everyone is well. Just a question that I am hoping someone will be able to answer for me. How long does it usually take to get MR after receiving BIL? Any assistance in this would be greatly appreciated as I would rather make a single trip to have everything done trying to limit travel during this pandemic. Thank you.

It seems to depend on country of applicant. In many countries, they request at same time - but in others much later in process (it seems to be done this way to avoid applicants having to go twice in countries where process is typically long).
What country is applicant from?
No need to worry. Medical will probably come soon. Wait at least a week before getting concerned.
I think UK residents will get around the same time.

Hi, I booked my biometrics straight away and completed them last week. I think the timings can really vary depending on where you’re applying from, as has been mentioned, so I wouldn’t be that surprised if I received the medical request in a month or two!
Hi. I think I will book mine as well. I will wait until Friday to see if I am lucky enough to get MR. If I do it would be awesome but if I don't it won't be a train smash it will just mean 2 trips into Central London. Either way I'm just stoked that things are moving at a reasonable pace.
Is there another medical centre closer to you that is NOT London?
For us, I think the closest medical centre is Manchester.
On the other hand, if both parts could be done and dusted in London, that could also be good.
It's all just so risky at the moment!
Hi LL. Unfortunately London is my closest for both biometrics and medicals. I was just hoping to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Have you had any further updates on your application?
I think that you can do your medicals anywhere in the world. So if you have to come into London to do your biometrics there is nothing stopping you from booking your medical in London as well.
I will be doing my medical in London as well (I’m from London and once I get the request!). When I did the biometric I had to wait an additional hour because they were behind. Just thought I’d give you a heads up
