IRCC Intervention - Not That Serious?

Hi I was supposed to have a hearing in December but it is postponed but I got a call from IRCC Interventions Unit about sending me a mail about the ministers intervention from IRCC. IT is only about "credibility" and I think it is because I was in Canada for many years before I filed my claim and had a number of temporary resident extensions. I have been told by someone it is not that serious and it is only IRCC (CIC) who are intervening to give IRB information about me having applied for previous visas outside the country. I have 100% solid case I think that is why I have not got a lawyer - I cannot go back to my country of nationality as I am in a social group which is very clearly victimized and discriminated against by law. Do I have to be worried? Anybody have any experience with IRCC intervnetion? Is it serious?

You may think you have a 100% solid case, but if you can get one - get a lawyer. Lawyers can be very helpful in presenting your case before the IRB the right way.

You need to get a lawyer . If they succeed against you , you will be on the next flight back home . I had an intervention and it wasn’t funny .

My two cents about that "get a lawyer" thing: be careful who you choose, most are plain scammers. If your case is not an open-and-shut one, they're often just pumping your wallet and don't offer any help. My advice is to avoid those who sit in fancy downtown offices, have shiny name tags and charge a fortune.

The minister offered their opinion based in the canadian vision of the world, but I least im my case I can notice they never investigate well the condition of my country and for them, we are liers, having said that, their opinion is very important in the case

for them, everything is a story which you have to prove with your actions with your pieces of evidence as long as you have everything to prove so all good either for them everything is just a story

Hello, be in Canada for long is not a crime, the only thing you need to present is why to wait for so long and credibility of your claims! find a good lawyer to walk you through, and be prepared! Goodluck

I would suggest you to get a good lawyer because having a lawyer is helpful like he/she can prepare you to talk in front of the board member. Lawyer will also let you know the bullet points from your story and weakness of your case as well.
