Hi, does anybody here apply for Work permit from UAE? We have the job offer and lmia already and we just need to gather documents and upload it to crc. Upon checking, the processing time is 60 weeks. Just wondering if this will really take 1 year to process?

Once you upload the documents,, how long will it take you to submit the original passport? Thankyou

That is a correct processing times due to Covid. Times are reducing but expect 60 weeks. Passport requests usually are one of the last steps.

I have applied in Sep 2020 and I'm still waiting. The processing time shows 11 weeks for Oman and It has been 18 weeks and there is no updates on the website on the status. 60 weeks is it really 60 weeks or maybe more. I'm not sure.

I've applied in Dec'19 and still waiting to hear the final decision.

Hi Naturgrl 60 weeks??? OMG, that's like 13 months, more than a year. Where did you get this information?
We've been waiting for 8 months now (post biometric) and 9 months after submitting the application.

I don't know how valid that is... I am applying from Israel and it keeps changing all the time...now it's at 18 weeks before it was 20 wekks or somthing...so I am past both times a long time ago...I worry they will never get back to me
