Hi there,
I have a question regarding minimum requirement of 5 full time employees who are Canadian Citizens/ PR. Our company have only 1 location and is inside GTA. On the employer form first they ask for total number of citizen/PR employees which are around 78 and then they ask for where the applicant is working or reporting which are 4. I am confused about this scenario I am even eligible for this or not. what does report to work mean.

Thank you so much for your reply. Yes my company have 78 but where I work which is a client location of my company there are 4 this is how it is mentioned on the employer form. Moreover our company's HR is so helpful she has provided me with a letter explaining that the number varies from 4-10 for Citizens/PR where I work depending upon scheduling and management requirements. I think so it would give them enough explanation.

Your employer’s business must also have at the time of application submission:

• at least five full-time employees who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents who work at the location where you will work, or will report to work, if you will work or report to work at a location in the Greater Toronto Area (City of Toronto, Durham, Halton, York and Peel regions)

If your office only has 4, you aren’t eligible according to the requirements. Your HR would have to prove over a long term that the office has more than 5 employees for almost all of the time.

I have a doubt for below mentioned questions on the Employer Form. There are these 2 questions. My doubt is that the minimum requirement of 5 full time CDN/PR employees is for question no. 1 or no.2 ?

1. Number of full time employees (Canadian citizens and/or permanent residents working minimum 1560 hours per year) in all locations. Written on the form 78.
2. Number of full time employees who are Canadian citizens and/or permanent residents who work or report to work at the business location provided above at the time of application. Written on the form 04.
My Company is located inside the GTA and have only 1 location. What I was trying to say was I work In Security Industry and the address where I physically work is different from the Company’s address because it is our company’s client location where I am assigned to work. So what I am asking is that the minimum requirement of 5 employees is that for my company or where I physically work? I hope this explains my query.
