File transfer from local VO to Beijing Visa Office

Our outland spousal application was transferred to the local visa office in Nairobi on September 14th, 2020. After a call with IRCC yesterday, I found out that the file has been transferred to Beijing. Is there any reason for this transfer?

Same boat. File transferred to Beijing VO. I was told that this was part of their work sharing process. Have you had any update from B VO?

We received medical request form on Wednesday and did it today. So maybe the file transfer to Beijing is a good thing and you will all get some updates soon.

Oh good. Our medical and biometric is done already. Hope someone gets assigned soon.

No update after medical received.
Aor 17 Nov
Medical & bio done between 25-30 Nov.
Last time I called, the agent said that file is getting transferred. But she was not sure, she said it could be Beijing as it is listed as secondary visa office for our file.
Hope all of us hear something soon.

For me the agent said my file is still in sydney ns and is expected to move to secondary vo beijing. Aor 2nd dec 2020, ndvo transfer sa email 3rd dec.
