So after 9+ months of background checks ( they check a lot of background believe me!!), NDVO finally changed my app from received to in process. I also got a request to send pictures of my wedding ceremony and the duration of cohabitation ( weird request for an outland application). Has anyone else gone through a similar thing with IRCC? If yes, what was their turnaround time in processing this. I feel like this might be the last step in my process as I have done everything else (medical, bio etc...). Sponsor in Toronto and Primary applicant out of country. Application was submitted in Jan 2020.

Pretty much same as yours except for a month early i.e. App received Jan 16, 2020.

THEY MAY TAKE THEIR TIME 2 to 4 months;; may search London VO as to how much time they take ! And dont take it a bad sign its good. Wait for updates

Yes not too bad as it is under 1 year normal average time. May be something which can only be verified by London VO. They keep on checking whole things; I remember 1 guy his wife was called just few days be4 she was to get PPR, by Delhi to resubmit history Forms which a clerk found was last 10 yrs history but supposed to be from birth . This thing is changed in the forms to 10 yrs now.

Each applicant has a different case and each country is dealing with covid differently I don’t think Vo’s are purposely slow... I’m just happy for any movement right now! Just trying to piece together the flow.

We are in Jan 2021 , General Proceesing time is 12 months ... This Missisauga Visa office is dead slow and has lots of backlogs i believe starting from Sept 2019 applicants to Feb 2020 applicants whereas Ottawa Visa office is giving PPR request for 2020 Feb , March , April applicants . Thus worst Management from IRCC in Family Reunifications !!!
