Did you call to find out from IRCC? Your file will most likely be in your local visa office by now.

Hello everyone!

I've been reading this forum for couple months now but just became a member to be able to post

I am CEC inland, with AOR Oct 16, Medicals passed + BIL Nov 30, Biometrics done and updated in profile Dec 2.

I have had a very curious thing happen to my profile today: just about half an hour ago I got my first GU ever (I feel almost like it's some kind of achievement , made me happy), the BGC did not change however (it kept saying "we are processing.." since day one). I then logged in again several minutes later to double-check the wording and saw another GU (it said "Profile updated" again, but BGC is still "We are processing..".

Just thought I'd share as I haven't read about anybody catching similar sequence of GUs before in this forum.

Welcome, I have seen those GUs twice. Same situation as yours.

Only criminality was in progress when I called on Dec 6th and again Dec 31...

1- if eligibility is passed and criminality is in progress ; is that possible they initial security check (in meantime) ?
2-there are some posts mentioned that security takes usually 1 month , is that correct ?

1. YEs, even if your criminality is pending due to biometrics, or if RCMP has not returned their results based on biometrics, your security can be initiated. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/mandate/corporate-initiatives/biometrics/process-steps-2018.html

2. An average security screening takes 110 days, unless you are in comprehensive security screening, which can take longer and in some cases it can be done in less than 110 days. It will depend whether your SS is a record check or a comprehensive check, where you are inland or outland etc.

My VO is Calgary. Spoke to them today and they mentioned that they have started Eligibility check and Background Check. Is your eligibility check passed? Thank you!

Just called IRCC again yesterday. Apparently, my application was transferred from Sydney, NS to Montreal.
I'm FSW-inland Oct 13 AOR and I got the same update last Dec.
Criminality - in progress
Eligibility and Security - not started

FYI,

PNP applicant with AOR 08 october just got a PPR.
Hope it will be the same for all of us soon.

Just called IRCC.
Agent told me everything(eligibility, criminally and security) is positive in your file.
And file is transferred to local visa office for final review.
Does that means everything is passed and just wait for COPR?
I asked him again "is everything approved?"
He answered me same "everything is positive".

Hello All,
Can someone help out? I tried calling IRCC on 8882422100 and wasn't able to speak to an agent.
I was able to input my application and year of birth but after that it pretty much reads the same updates from my webpage.. Pressing 0 says all agents are busy and call goes off, is this normal as it doesn't ask me to hold for next agent
