I applied via an agent at first and they processed did the things regarding my loa now I really don't want to apply with them since I am aware of the process of visa but I can't do that anymore as I applied with them for loa. So yes an agent.

I got a loa on my own, paid the tution fees and got the gic from CIBC and my medical is on 29th oct. But my family is saying that i should hire an agent to apply for my visa. What do you suggest? Should I seek help from an agent or Should I apply on my own?
I am a little aware about the visa application, I am confused about only one thing, SOP. I dont know what to write in my SOP, what things to mention in my SOP and what is the right format. If you know how to prepare an effective SOP then please guide me with it.

I would recommend you to move on your own rather than an hiring an agent. The process of visa is pretty straight forward and there is many guides and forums on here as well. SOP is not that tough as it seems. You can get a good info on what to write in an SOP within a few Search's. Also there is pretty good examples here too. I have not written an SOP yet else would've gladly helped you. Tbh I would have moved on my own if I have found this forum some times before.
If you are unsure on the process even after checking all these out then surely hire an experienced agent.

Ok bro, I'm pretty much ready to process my file on my own, and I'll take your advice and start searching about how to make an effective SOP... There are many threads on this forum, I'm going through them hopefully I'll get an idea of what to write in my SOP.

Yes I will attach a visa cover letter, sop in client information .It's better to arrange supporting documents in order like work experience letters , additional education documents if any etc

Program choose: Software Engineering Technician.
Credential: Ontario college diploma
Date applied: August 14 2020
Loa received: August 28th
Registration fee($2650) paid: September 15 2020
Applied for change of program: November 2 2020
Change confirmed: November 5 2020
Program changed: Software Enginneering Technology - Artificial Intelligence(CO-OP)
Credential: Ontario college advanced diploma
First sem fee($6238) balance paid: 13 November 2020
Have not filed for visa as I am waiting on loan approval. Medical appointment took for 5th December 2020. I will be very late for January 2021 intake probably. Might have to defer. How are things for you all?

Update: submitted biometrics on 27 nov and got updated in GCkey same day. But medical is still not updated till now. I am getting worried. Classes from 18 jan. :-(

Same bro. I told my agent to get it deferred to May but he said not available in May... the website says otherwise... u confirmed it for me too... its really not available for may... i tried registering yesterday but it says there's a hold in my registration... i guess i will be seeing about september then... maybe some other college too (for sept)...

Aaghhhh. Liars. Why the heck they said that in their website then. There is a hold in mine too. Don't know what it is but I sent a mail to them enquiring about it. I will update you once I get a proper reply. I would have refunded the money if they have not took 2650$. Their refund policy says so unless there was a visa rejection. In that case they would have only took like 200$. They need to change their refund policy considering the recent time. Well things are sad guess I gotta deal with it.

I also mailed them regarding hold yesterday. Lets see when they reply. Anyways, the classes have begun and they usually reply to mails in 4-5 days. By then, i wonder how much they will go ahead with the syllabus. So i dont think one should register for jan now.

I just got passport request last Monday, January 18th. I haven't deferred yet.

Registration still open up until the 25th, but classes already started last Monday. I just sent an email to my admissions officer asking if its too late to attend the class (awaiting reply) since there's a hold in my account as well. My next intake would be September 2021 which is far too long. Any advise?
