Expired passport missing to confirm 5 year travel history.

Hi! I am a PR since January 2016. Only been out of Canada for a few months. I had to renew my Philippine passport last 2019 before leaving Canada to visit Philippines for 3 months because it was expired. I understand that I have to submit my expired passport as well but I cant find it. Have anyone been in this situation? Did it affect your application? Thank you in advance to anyone who answers my question.

If you can't find your passport, then IRCC, AFAIK, is going to look for evidence that proves the steps you took after you found out your passport was missing (like a police report, the notification you sent to your embassy about the missing passport etc).
