Hello Folks I am a bit confused or may be i am not so confident. Can you please shed some lights and enlighten me.

There is a form called Financial Evaluation for Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship IMM 5768. In sec 3 B of that form it says
Previous Undertakings
1) Number of persons included in previous undertakings you signed as a sponsor and that are still in effect. Provide details in question 9 on page 2

I don't understand the question what is it exactly asking? I sponsored my spouse in 2012 we both are citizens since 2018, we have 2 children and applying for my father and mother under PGP 2020 program. Do i need to add 1 in the box since I sponsored my spouse as my previous undertaking? and leave section 5 your spouse or common law partner if not included in 3 above as 0 . If i do so the total number of person for the purpose of determining minimum necessary income becomes 6 which is correct

If i add 1 on both section 3 and 5 total number of person becomes 7 which is incorrect. can you please give me some input. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

If I were you, I would make it a way that it gives the correct number. Then I would provide an explanation letter for safe side to explain my thought process and why I did that.

In question 2, it is you (1). in B)iii. it is your wife (1) and question 3 is for your parents and their dependants, question 6 is for your other dependant (your child). Hope this helps

Hi, Thank you for your time to explain this .I have found the correct answer. I agree with you question 2 is me (1) question 3 A is my parents (2) and question 6 is very other family members i.e. child (2)

But question 3 B (iii) is not my wife its rather question 5. where it says Your spouse or common law partner if not included in 3.

I sponsored my wife back in 2012 , yes it was a previous undertaking however no longer in effect as it is already over 3 years. Thank you again for taking the time to response

but you sponsored her to come here. so period of undertaking is still in effect. question 5 could have been your wife if you did not sponsor her.

ok. i thought period of undertaking is 10 years. no worries. good luck!
