I have worked for one and a half years in the shipping industry in international waters all over the world.
However, my passport is stamped in only two places that are the UK when the trip started and one in Singapore as per the country's rule.
I have no stamps of all the other places wherein visited. But I have traveled a dozen places.

I was thinking not to put travel history except for one which I went as a tour for Dubai.

I was thinking of writing a letter of explanation for the rest of the travel done by me for work purposes.

Because like in UK I stayed two days and the rest of the voyage was in international waters till we reached our next destination.

Any help or insights will be helpful and appreciated.

Hello fellow seafarer,

I was in a similar state of confusion prior to submitting my application. As per IRCC's requirement you should declare your entire travel history. Unfortunately it doesn't make allowances for the type of travel that we seafarers do. Apart from mentioning your sign on and sign off port, you have to mention the ports that your ship called also. You put the port which the ship went to and in the purpose of call you can write 'Port of call for the ship #Name'. Your dates don't have to be exact but at least write the same month and year. If possible contact someone from that ship who could probably have a port of calls list and that might make your life easier. Probably a cadet or third mate. You will definitely be mentioning your period on the ship under personal history or work history, so that will help the processing officer to better understand your travel history. I understand the information might not be easily available to you, but better declare the port calls that you made rather than not declare it at all. Not declaring any port of calls in your travel history will make the processing officer wonder if you are trying to hide something or if your port of call was in one of the data sharing countries, then it will be on record and the officer might wonder why you haven't declared it. Don't worry too much, try to put all port of calls in the travel history to the best of your knowledge. All the best!

Arav

Hello Sir,

Thank you very much for the help.

So I have to mention the dated from and to. when we entered the port and exited the port. and the port name.

However I have doubt how do i show the travel of being international waters.

And what address I will be showing in the address history.
