Hello Everyone,

I'm creating this thread for CEC (Canadian Experience Class) applicant who have less than 470 points on Express entry. For example, I'm currently at 459 points
As it stands, the last Express Entry was 471 - All Program draw.

However, there were multiple CEC Draw this year.

March 23rd 2020- 467
April 9th 2020 - 464
April 16th 2020 - 455
April 30th 2020 - 452
May 14th 2020 - 447
May 28th 2020 - 440
June 11th 2020 - 437
June 25th 2020 - 431
July 23rd 2020 - 445
August 20th 2020 - 454

There haven't been any Program specific draw since then, and the score have been in the 470s since then ....

This is non-judgemental thread, give some advise, tips and tricks on how to increase score, give boost of motivation and lastly show some love.

I cannot wait to start congratulating everyone one after the other for receiving an ITA!!!!

I am sitting at 448 with a year of experience. Almost maxed out IELTS but stuck at speaking 6.5 :( ... Thinking of retaking this freaking exam again but it got cancelled due to the pandemic. Next available spot is February...

I'm just desperate for ITA. Been hearing lots of stories about how IRCC will invite more inland temporary workers and students but unsure when?...I feel it is unfair to group inlands (international students, PGWP, etc.) with outlanders (foreign experiences) together because most of us have been here for such a long time (for me, it's 7 years appx. went and stayed here from high school grade 11) + paid taxes, ~80k worth tuition fees and the score is still not there for the cut-off. I could wait for another year but there are so many uncertainties :(...

Anyone on the same boat? Do you also think CIC will make it easier or somehow bump the scores up for students to apply for PR?

There's always hope! Please don't give up! I definitely think that Canada will be make it a bit easier for Inland applicants.

I am in the same boat with you, I came to Canada for high school Grade 12, went to college and now I have 2.10 years work experience. But still nothing.........

What I would say is that you should max out your English Exam, keep studying and learning. One other tip is to pay for re-evaluation. For example, I went from 8-11 in Writing (btw i took CELPIP) and that increased my score by 32 points!
The other advise is to start preparing for TEF. I already started learning french but in a slow pace because it's a new language for me.

Also, what month will you have 2 years work experience. The reason I ask is because this helps in increasing points drastically.

Goodluck to us! We will congratulate one another very soon!

Thanks for the reply. Good to hear someone shares the same journey as mine. I'll reach 2 years of Canadian Exp sometime around September 2021. I'm quite surprised and sad to hear about your case. Do you still stay at 459 even though you had 2.10 years? How about your PGWP?

Honestly, I'm frustrated to see All Programs Draws...FSW people always have better scores than CEC...let them compete in their own league. I do hope draws from now on will focus on CEC and invite more people "already here and working. Maybe "number of years living in canada" should be awarded more points in EE because I cannot imagine what it's like to go back to my country after 7-8 years...

Well, I do hope we could find that light at the end of the tunnel...

No I cannot imagine us going back without having our papers!. After all these years!!! No never...

My PGWP is still valid for one more month lool but re-applied for extra extension :). Though in February 2021, I will have 3 years work experience and that will bring me to 470. But the thing i'm scared of is that I tracked the EE draws and it looks like every new year, they tend to increase the points. It could be 480s going forward or some crazy high score.

To be honest, all we have to right now is to change what we have control over (=such as maxing out english exam for you, giving TEF a try) and also lots on PATIENCE and PRAYER!. Also, I have hope that something good will come our way iA.

We shall get through this and this will all be a story one day!

Although I'm an outland FSW applicant, I truly believe IRCC should improve the maximum points applicants can get from Candian work experience. Instead of getting new immigrants into the country, why can't they take more care of people who're already there making contribution to the country?

Well that's due to IRCC's not working over the Holidays...I get scared too with lots of predictions over 480s :( . This PR is getting wayyy out of hand. Hope they will correct this in 2021...2020 is over...

Congrats to all CEC for the draw today. Looks like it's happening again. The start of it with 461 is such a good news (Better than previous March 2020 draw).
