Processing time of PRTD application submitted electronically(by email)-VAC closed-INDIA

My wife got the same response n we responded today. Btw, what is the application number ? Is that copr number ?

You responded, meaning you sent out follow up email to PassportSubmission@vfshelpline.com ?

I tried to reach out to the email id above and later responded to the automated email from them asking applicant details and passport request letter. I attached the email itself as the passport request letter but this morning I got an email asking me to send the correct passport request letter. I am not sure what they meant by it.

This is from the email that I got from IRCC :

The passport request letter from ircc has R****. That should be converted to pdf n sent as attachment to vfs along with the details they asked in .txt

Sorry, I should have clarified. Thr R*** is just that I was trying to hide personal information here. The email from IRCC had the full application number which was sent to the VAC as well in a Text format.

But no where they say that R***** is the application number in the IRCC email, hence while responding to VFS, I specified this number and copr - application number in the application # field. Hope the agent understands

You are right. The email from IRCC just had the number R303403313 mentionrd in the subject line so I assumed that it was the application number. In my case I dont even have a COPR nunber, it must have been from 2015 when I became a PR.

I have replied to IRCC to provide the "correct" passport requesr letter. Hoping they get back to me soon.

You are right. The email from IRCC just had the number R303403313 mentionrd in the subject line so I assumed that it was the application number. In my case I dont even have a COPR nunber, it must have been from 2015 when I became a PR.

In the initial email I provided IRCC with the tickets that I had already which were cancelled because of Covid related lockdown, I did tell them that I will reschedule my flight ticket based on the response from IRCC / VAC

Hello everyone,

I have some questions on obtaining PRTD from India. I am currently in Canada and will be traveling to India end of this month. I am a PR, however I don't have my PR card yet. I need to obtain the PRTD to fly back to Canada. My return would be tentatively during March 1st week (Yet to book return flight)

1. What would be the ideal processing time for the PRTD?
2. Can I still apply via email? If yes, how to send the passport and photos?
3. Is a return ticket mandatory while applying for PRTD? If I have one does it increase the possibility of getting it quicker?

Any other suggestions to make the process easier from my end? Thank you so much. I appreciate your time in reading my post.

Hi All,

We landed in April 2019, and returned to India. Our PR cards are at friends place in Canada. We did not get them couriered, so we are planning to apply for PRTD.

Yesterday, I sent PRTD application via email for my wife and kid but I did not submit current/valid passport copies. Do we need submit current/valid passport copies also? Thanks!

I am also on same boat as you . Got an email from ircc yesterday and sent all details to VAC . Still waiting for response . Did you raise any ticket with IRCC on below issue.

No ticket but did reply to the covid email id for prtd application. No responsen yet. No reponse from VAC email id as well.
