@wp2020 Perplexed to see such a delay. I hope you are getting it soon :)
Do you mind to share if there is any information mentioned in the Finalized section of your recent GCMS notes i.e.
Any document issuance,
COPR number e.g. Txxxxx
or any outgoing communication to your local IRCC office.
I have a T number and print queue is Vancouver Cen - not sure what that means.

My eligibility is passed as per the calls I have made to the agent..
Same as mine... I had no update in my EE account but came to know from call with agent that my application is recommended passed.

So you need not to worry you all will get BOWP approved.

As per my understanding from reading into other threads. The number starting with Txxxx is the COPR number and the print queue is the sequence when the COPR will be generated. You are almost there. some officer should log-in and push the button :)

Happy New Year to everyone! @legalfalcon - I need your advice please. As per the GCMS notes received in December, my application was approved in October. When I called the agent in November, she mentioned everything was passed and to wait for an email. Another agent in December said everything was passed and to wait for the email. He also mentioned that the Nova Scotia office is severely backlogged which is the reason I haven’t received the email yet. 6 months are up and I’m not sure what to do. Is this normal, for a case to be approved for over 2 months and not get the email? Aside from contacting the local MP, is there something you recommend? Also, please share some information on how to get in touch with the MP (British Columbia) and what information to request. Thank you for your help - I appreciate it!

This is normal and there are many individuals who are experiencing this issue. It all has to be do with IRCC and the processing delays at their offices. In the recent meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Immigration and Citizenship, the deputy minister has acknowledged the delays. Also, recently additional resources have been allocated to IRCC to tackle COVID.

To read the transcript of the meetings, see https://www.ourcommons.ca/DocumentViewer/en/43-2/CIMM/meeting-10/evidence

As regards meeting your MP, each MP has his / her info public. You just have to find who the MP is where your are residing and contact them by email of phone.

The list if all MPs from BC is available at https://www.ourcommons.ca/members/en/search?province=BC

Does it show that you’re approved in your CIC account too?

@legalfalcon is it true requesting for gcms notes trigger an agent to update your file
Not necessary. In some cases applicants have seen movement after requesting GCMS notes. This usually happens in cases where there is something pending that has to be updated, like meds, criminality info sharing etc, can be updated as the officer has to release the file before GCMS notes can be released.

But this is anecdotal.

Hello everyone! @legalfalcon
I've been following this thread since the beginning.
Does anyone here had a message like this? What does the "100% complete" means? It seemed that there's no progress over my application. I applied thru a representative. I am starting to worry that they might refuse my application. Pls enlighten me with this message. I need help. Thank you!

Your application is taking us longer than usual to process
Application received: June 2, 2020
100% complete
Estimated completion date: December 2, 2020

How about this one? It's not stated if I passed the biometrics or not.
Date of Biometric Enrollment: November 20, 2020
Expiry Date: November 20, 2030

This is normal and the status bar only shows the time elapsed and not the actual processing.

As per IRCC's annual 2019 annual report it takes 8-9 months for an application to process.
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/annual-report-parliament-immigration-2019.html

How long did it take to process an Express Entry application?
Table 35 displays the time, in months, that IRCC took to process 80% of applications under each program. In 2019, IRCC did not meet the processing standard of finalizing 80% of all applications sourced via Express Entry within six months. The processing time for Express Entry, overall, was eight months. As an alternative measure of processing times, 60% of applications finalized in the 12-month period ending on December 31, 2019, were completed within the six-month service standard.

Data is operational and as such should be considered preliminary and subject to change.

  • Processing times refer to the time in which 80% of applications were finalized by IRCC. The processing time is measured from the day a complete application is received until the time a final decision is made by an immigration officer.
The applications in 2020 will take even longer. To know the status of your application, you can request your GCMS notes, or send a webform.
