Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hello everyone! I activated my profile yesterday and was expecting the additional 50 points. But I just realized it did not show up as I am on the PGWP.

Then I looked at the IRCC website and found that From January 1, 2015 to November 19, 2016, jobs offers that didn’t need an LMIA were not considered valid for Express Entry. We now accept certain job offers that don’t need an LMIA

Here is the link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1009&top=29

Can anyone please interpret what it means?

Thanks!
Means that applicants with LMIA exempt work permits which are employer specific (closed work permits) are able to obtain valid job offers.

You are working on an open work permit so unless you obtain LMIA you will not get those 50 points.

A job offer without an LMIA is not worth any points. Having a job and being in Canada does not help express entry. You can get points from your job experience, though. I am in a similar situation as you. I suggest you consider answering "no" to the offer question since it will save you a lot of headache after ITA. I answered yes and although I said I don't have an LMIA I am still required to submit a qualifying offer of employment. Quite a ridiculous process
i did the same by answering yes to this. i currently have a job and i also qualify for the canadian experience. i was asked to upload an offer letter. i just uploaded the letter from my company. please how did you get around yours?

I have a job offer that is exempt from LMIA. I am currently working in Indian IT company. Will my job offer help me to score additional 50 CRS points in Express Entry?
As per below URL job without LMIA is also valid.

Valid assuming you have a LMIA work permit which is employer specific (closed work permit), have worked for your employer for at least one year on full-time basis (in Canada) AND you have an offer valid for a year AFTER you receive permanent residency.

Thanks for your reply.
I agree that you have to work for your employer for at least one year. But where it is written that work should be full-time basis work in Canada?
I have highlighted the question in yellow under CRS tool calculator. This question does not state anywhere that 1year work should be in Canada.

That is not an official CRS calculator.

The question still remains, how you can say that work-ex should be completed in Canada?
In my case, I am working for the Canadian client for past 3 years from India. Would I be eligible for this option?
I'm not saying anything, that is, this is not my opinion. It is a fact based on the link I have provided already.

You are free to try using that work period in India to claim points for arranged employment. The system will simply grant you none.

What permit are you on? A job letter doesn’t give you points.
