SINP - how they count work experience in the past 10 years, not so clear

In case someone has similar experience or case: for some NOCs SINP gives you invitation (enough points) if you worked for 10 years in the past 10 years, but let's say I have a gap of 6 months (for studies and some time off), I am sure others also might have gaps (when changing jobs, etc), is it critical for SINP to have absolutely no gaps in 10 years or is it fine to have such gap and can I still declare 10 years?

SINP website itself doesn't give indication on weather 9.5 years can be counted as 10 years or not. Their support team is not helping either. But what I noticed is they don't require this experience to be full-time. So it can be part-time 10 years, am I right? But if I had 9.5 years full time and the other candidate has 10 years part-time , he gets invited and I do not - just don't understand this logic, I think there has to be explanation

As stated on the grid, “One year of work experience equals 12 full months.” so it is full time employment. Do you have 10 years work experience or not...a gap of 6 months isn’t 10 years of work experience.

Yes, but full months isn't the same as full-time work. So 10 years part-time (10 or 20 hours per week), qualifies? Makes no sense to me though

Hello I am still trying to get to Canada, short questions please - if you know:
1) is it possible for software engineer (NOC 2173) currently to get to Canada without job offer (CRS score 439) under any program?
2) are there good chances to get job offer in Canada remotely via linked in, etc? or better to come first on some temporary visa like student?

So my experience is like this

company 1: 4 years and 11 months
company 2: 4 months
company 3: 6 months( currently working).

Is my experience counted as 5Yrs 9Mnth or only 4 years?

Hi am also having the same confusion about work experience calculation.
Can anyone help me to know how many years of experience am having, i consider myself as 10 years but no not sure...
Comapny 1 : 3 years 9 months (9Oct2011-03sep2015)
Company 2 : 7 year 7 months still continuing.(15Nov2015- Still continuing)
Note: The gap between 03sep2015 to 15Nov2015 was switching one company to another company, visa process and all.

If you have 10 years of work experience from August 2013 to August 2023 then you are good. If you have a few months break then subtract those months.
