Is it risky to apply for Visitor Visa for my brothers??

Hi everyone,

I am just posting here to get some feedback on whether it's going to be difficult for my brothers to get their visas approved in case they applied. I have getting a visa for single guys in their 20s can be tricky.

I am a PR, citizenship application almost processed. My parents have supervisa and have visited Canada twice now. With proper health insurance and they only stayed for a couple of week each time. My parents will be visiting again this summer and I want my 2 younger brothers to visit as well but I am not sure if their visa would get approved.

Middle brother (27) is employed full time in Pakistan and youngest (22) is in 2nd year of business school. They can attach letters proving all that. And I can write up an invitation letter if necessary. My plan is to elaborate on our plan of the whole family visiting for a few weeks and then everyone going back to their job/school. I am hoping that's going to be enough of a reason to convince the officer that my brothers do not have any reasons to prolong their stay. I'd just like some feedback if you think their visa applications can be rejected and how to prevent that. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My apologies if that topic has been covered. I couldn't find anything similar when I was scrolling.

Thanks

You will need to post more details:
1. What documents does each of them intend to submit?
2. Have they traveled to visa-required countries for short visits?
3. Can the middle brother afford the visit with his own finances? What other financial investments can he submit?
4. Do they own property/land?
5. Is the middle brother engaged to be married?
6. When does the study program of the youngest brother finish? When he visits, would he have to return to Pakistan for any study-related reasons?

And I can write up an invitation letter if necessary.
It would help a great deal if you do + other documents as their host

It does not work like that. Elaborating on the plan of the entire family visiting = Their family ties to Canada will be stronger than those to Pakistan.

To overcome the 'family ties' reason, each brother would have to individually demonstrate his strong ties to Pakistan + a well-thought out day-by-day plan of what they would like to do with expense estimates.

You would also need to clearly state tentative dates for their visit i.e. XX date to XX date. Don't leave it open to interpretation by stating 'visit for a few weeks' as this does not show clear intentions to return home

Thanks for your response Bryanna

1. Employment confirmation letter for middle brother. Program confirmation letter with exam schedule for younger brother. I asked them to just prepare those documents as I wasn't sure adding anything else would be beneficial.
2. Yes they have traveled to a few countries in the middle east. Those were family trips.
3. He can afford his expenses but can't contribute more. But I was thinking I'll either attached my father's bank statement to cover expenses for the whole family or I can attach my bank statements and say I am bearing all the costs associated with the trip for everyone. Is that a bad idea?
4. No, they don't
5. They are both single
6. Younger brother still has 3 years to go. He has his end-of-2nd-year exams in August. We are thinking of planning this trip in June, so he has time to study after going back. He can easily get all this information on a document from his school.

Yes I can write up an invitation letter and even provide proof of funds. Is there anything else I can provide to make their case stronger?

I understand what you mean by your family ties comment. My thought for elaborating on a family trip was that I'd like to include them with my parents and say that my brothers are going to be doing what my parents have done twice now - which is, visit for a few days and then go back. Do you think just saying that they have to go back to work and school is enough of a reason?
I do have more specific dates. My parents are visiting with or without them. I'd have to go into more details about what they would be doing in Canada if they get to visit (basically all touristy stuff) and then show that we have funds available for those activities.

Thanks once again Bryanna

Since how long has your middle brother been working?
1.5 years now. He can also show how much vacation he's got left this year and mention on the application that once his vacation is over, he'll need to go back right away. He doesn't make and save a lot of money so I think it'll be better if our father or I showed proof of funds.

I am an engineer. Showing funds for their trip won't be an issue for me.

He can include a Letter of Financial Support from your dad although it would be best if he shows he is financially independent.

As your dad can visit on a super visa (longer stay), your brother's financial dependence on your dad could work against his application.

Also, as the host, your financial support ideally should be limited to offering accommodation and paying for their local travel/living expenses. The visa officer would like to see if the applicants (your brothers) can afford the visit. Greater financial dependence on yourself means lesser chances of TRV approvals.

You will need to post the list of documents that each of your brothers will be submitting + how long will your parents be visiting this time?

Okay. Got it. The plan is for all of them to visit end of June. My dad and brothers are planning on only staying for 2 weeks. My mom will stay for 4. So if the my dad and brother are intending on staying the same amount of time, does my brother's financial dependence on my dad still work against his application?

Middle brother:
  • Employment confirmation letter - this will also indicate starting date and salary
  • Bank statement for the past 6 months to show salary
  • Pay slips
  • Letter of Financial Support
  • Cover letter - for information about his proposed stay in Canada

Younger brother:
  • Program confirmation letter - for proof of enrollment
  • Exam schedule - showing he has exams in August
  • Letter of Financial Support
  • Cover letter - for information about his proposed stay in Canada

Is there anything that I am missing?

First, I suggest you don't rush to submit their applications until you check/recheck that there are no gaps in their explanations/evidence.

Second, IMO, both your brothers have 50:50 percent chances of approvals. Again, to improve their chances, you must make sure their paperwork is really solid.

The plan is for all of them to visit end of June.
Both brothers must submit a detailed day-by-day itinerary of what they would like to do during their visit like typical tourists/meeting family and friends/activities, etc.... with expense estimates. Do keep the visit/plan to max. 2-3 weeks, especially for your middle brother.... a visit longer than 3 weeks would indicate weak employment ties.

Also, if possible, plan a visit around some national holidays in Pakistan.... and mention in the cover letters that this way they are able to visit for slightly longer.

My dad and brothers are planning on only staying for 2 weeks. My mom will stay for 4.
You can work this fact to the advantage of your brothers' applications. Also, as your parents have visited twice earlier on super visa entries, but stayed only for a couple of weeks each time, it could help your brothers' applications.

Do include evidence of flight bookings of your parents (either provisional or else refundable/allows for the dates to be changed) in both your brothers' applications. Also, include any evidence that your dad must return after two weeks (business/work commitments, etc).

Do include an explanation:
Parents passport details + their super visa details + previous entry/exit dates + cross-reference to the flight bookings for the next visit.... and highlight the fact that despite having super visas, your parents have visited on short visits in the past/returned soon because of your brothers + they will be returning to Pakistan in 2-4 weeks this time too.

So if the my dad and brother are intending on staying the same amount of time, does my brother's financial dependence on my dad still work against his application?
If possible, have your brother save up/cut his expenses a bit at least for 1-2 months before he applies. He can include the Letter of Financial support from your dad + your dad's bank statements/financials, etc.

Do note: Your dad's bank statements/liquid financials must be able to pay for the plane tickets for your dad + mom + two brothers + your brothers' day-by-day itineraries + surplus funds

Middle brother:
  • Employment confirmation letter - this will also indicate starting date and salary
  • Bank statement for the past 6 months to show salary
  • Pay slips
  • Letter of Financial Support
He must also include a leave approval letter from his employer which states he will have his job when he returns + evidence for 1-2 work commitments i.e. must-return-by-a-specific-date type of work commitments + income tax returns

Younger brother:
  • Program confirmation letter - for proof of enrollment
  • Exam schedule - showing he has exams in August
  • Letter of Financial Support
  • Cover letter - for information about his proposed stay in Canada
He must also include copies of tuition fees + student ID + leave approval letter issued by the college stating he is a bona fide student and he has exams scheduled from XX to XX date in August + mark sheet/transcript for the most recent exam + copies of exam fees paid for the exam in August + college prospectus/prints of the college website for his study program, the exam schedule, etc

And, as you would know, your parents must have minimum CAD 100,000 medical insurance for this visit too

Hello Everyone
I am writing here to get some information regarding super visa or tourist visa application process.

I am a canadian PR for last three years and would like to invite my mother and younger brother to visit to canada on my wife's birthday in June 2021. Is it possible to apply super visa for mother and visitor visa for younger brother at the same time ?

what will be the procedure...?

My mother is a house wife and she can not visit alone as she doesn't know english language and has never been to any country before. My younger brother is married and have a baby girl and he will be leaving them back home to show that he will return back before his visa expires.

Please suggest.

You can do that. They will have their own applications. However processing from India is 8+ months and if they haven’t given biometrics add even more time. Plus your mother can travel without authorization but your brother needs authorization to travel as well as his visitor visa. So don’t expect visas by June.

is there any other beat way to get a visitor visa in less time...?
