Can we change job industry after getting PR

Hello everyone,
If I apply for PR for IT manager job code and let’s say the application is through. Can we change to a different profession or start a business in a different industry before getting citizenship?

If you get PR, you can work in whatever profession you want.

Thanks. Read somewhere that if someone has got PR using PNP for a province and moves to another province then they face some issues during PR to citizenship process. Wanted to confirm if similar restriction applies to the profession as well.

You never said PNP so I assumed Express Entry. If you receive nomination from the province, you are expected to live and work there. There are requirements for PNP nominations so check the province where you will receive the nomination.

By any chance do you know whether Saskatchewan gives PR ITA for IT manager roles, though they dont have the job listed in exclusion list.

What is your NOC? What is your SINP score because scores are high too.

SINP score: 64. I have not worked/lived in Canada before and no relatives either. Have worked in large Indian IT company for last 14 yrs(if it adds any credibility )

Unfortunately the score hasn’t been that low in over 2 years. The last draw with your MOC was 78.

Hmm. Is there a page where the SINP scores for all job codes can be seen? The only factors which can be improved now are having a job offer, learning and taking French language test. By any chance, is it even possible to think of getting a SK job offer for this role (while in India)?

Sorry no suggestions if you dont have a job offer. Can you improve language scores?

I am yet to give the language test. I have allocated max scores for language test. Think I should be able to get CLB 8.
Looking at all the point breakup, I have to do some 1 year PGD course to boost the score. That will add 33 points and bring the total to 425 after deducting few points for age increase. Still will be short of 468 required for general EE score. Would getting 425 increase my chances with any of the PNP programs?
