I have married on 26th Feb 2020, and applied for Permanent Residency for my wife through the Spousal Sponsorship category.
I applied on June 26 2020, was hoping to hear from CIC on next steps... As the process got delayed I called in to CIC customer service and got to know that the Visa Application Package has been returned to my address on 12 Nov 2020 without unit number. I have the immigration representative - I was expecting that they will receive any question pertaining to my application, to my shock CIC have sent the application to me directly and to the address by not including the Unit 402.

Have tried contacting the Canada Postal services and they told me that the package is not trackable as it is being sent in regular mail.

I am very much saddened and depressed at the way CIC has managed my application. I need your Help please

If you have an immigration representative and that representative is the one who sent in your application, you need to contact them. If IRCC sent back your application without a unit number, it is because the address on your application package did not include a unit number.

Instead of contacting IRCC, you need to contact your representative and find out what is going on.

Hi, Thank you for taking time to advise...
I did, and the response is not vague....
I agree that your representative must have made errors. If your application was returned as incomplete, this is because your representative submitted an incomplete application. If your address was listed incorrectly, that's again on your representative.

What exactly did your representative say when you contacted them?

I would recommend that you resubmit a new application as soon as possible. This time either don't use an agent or use someone different.

I would also request a refund from your first representative since the application was returned as incomplete.

Good luck.

Very sorry to hear what happened to you. It is terrible.

Did you receive any email such as the bio fee reminder? Was your unit number included in the email?

I agree with the above replies that your rep must have made mistakes in your application that caused the return and the false address.

If your rep was paid, is the rep properly licensed? If you paid the rep, you can try to ask for re-apply with no service charge. But honestly, I would stay away from most of the immigration agents. It doesn't feel safe when someone else is holding your lifeline.
