I got an email from the covid PRTD application id today for submitting my passport for PRTD. Anyone else sailing in the same boat?
I have sent an email to the Passport submission id for any special instructions using which I need to send the passport. I will need to apply to VAC in Delhi.
Please note that my situation is : Have been a PR since 2015 and had to travel to India 15 days before y card expired. PR card renewal is also applied in June and the card has been sent to my address on 23rd Nov where my family will receive it but it is not yet delivered. I applied for PRTD on 14th October through email with no response. Followed up on December 22nd when I got a response to provide my application and UCI number, provided the details and got the response below today.

We recently learned that the government of India no longer permits transits in between India and Canada.

If you decide to book a flight, your itinerary should be modified to a direct flight instead. Please note that we will no longer issue letters of authorization after January 15th.
You are also encouraged to submit your passport to a VAC.

This is in regard to the above referenced application, which you submitted via e-mail to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). To finalize your application, we require the following:

Using VFS services is the only way to submit your passport. A separate envelope is required for each passport.

All clients who receive a passport request letter from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) may contact VFS at
PassportSubmission@vfshelpline.com to confirm their 2-way courier service.
· For verification, please include
a copy of this passport request letter when you submit your passport.
· Please note that Blue Dart courier services most pincode locations. However, if the courier cannot enter due to the current COVID containment zones, you will need to wait until the courier can enter. If Blue Dart does not operate in your pincode location, send an e-mail to VFS to find the nearest Blue Dart office. Once you drop off your passport/passport request letter, the courier will deliver it to the Delhi Visa Application Centre (VAC). We ask that you Do NOT mail your passport directly to the High Commission. Unsolicited passports will be returned without being processed.
