Effect of US visa revocation on Canada PR

HI All,
I wanted to know how badly will my PR application will be effected by a US visa revocation. I recently received an email about my visa being revoked. Problem is I do not know the exact reason for that, since I am currently in US itself and the revocation will be effective once I cross the border and till then I am valid here, they are asking me to apply for a new visa.
my questions are:
1) Since I am here in US and I am applying for EE, should I say YES or NO to the part of cancelled or revoked in the EE profile.
2) Since I am not sure about the reason and there are no visa interviews currently, how should I explain about why I got the revocation.

Any help would be appreciated.

It probably won’t have much of an effect on your application unless you have committed a crime in the US. It would be in your best interest to find out why your visa is being revoked, regardless. The US and Canada share a ton of data between border forces and for immigration purposes, so rest assured IRCC will find out why your visa was revoked during processing.

Thank you for replying! But how should I explain about why the visa was revoked, I never committed any crime, might be due to some documentation from my employer and I cannot get more info until I sit again for my visa interview because the consulates does not tell you anything over emails by anyone.

You should be truthful when answering the statuatory questions about denied or cancelled visa. If you are unable to get the reasoning for the revocation prior to your application, then you should state exactly that.

As mentioned before, it will be much easier if you could find out why your US visa is being revoked BEFORE you apply for Canadian PR via Express Entry.

This email is to inform you that your U.S. visa has been revoked pursuant to section 221(i) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) and is no longer a valid travel document.
They haven't provided you a reason for why your visa has been revoked?

I find that hard to believe.
This is what I got and no information is provided after that even when my lawyer reached out.
This email is to inform you that your U.S. visa has been revoked pursuant to section 221(i) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) and is no longer a valid travel document. If you are physically present in the United States at this time, the revocation will become effective immediately upon your departure from the U.S.

Additional information became available subsequent to the issuance of your visa that may affect your eligibility for a U.S visa henceforth. This decision cannot be appealed. If you wish, you may reapply for a U.S. visa at any time. If you choose to reapply, you are required to submit a new application form and photo and pay the visa fee again. You must also reappear before a U.S. Consular officer to establish your eligibility for a visa before being permitted to apply for entry to the United States.

Most likely you did not meet requirements of h1b. Either wage, specialty occupation, degree requirements or employer employee relationship. So your visa was revoked. I don't see any other reason.

Yeah, this must be it.

But i would say this is pretty abnormal, so i would be careful.

You have to be sure the information you provided inyour visa application was accurate, if not then you need to come clean.

This is pretty much tantamount to a visa cancellation on the grounds of ineligibility.

If we're being honest, it seems like they think some aspect of your application was misrepresented or didn't meet the criteria. But the fact they are rescinding your visa, most likely means they think you or your employer misrepresented the facts of your case.

I definitely would not interpret this as you have a legal status while you remain in the U.S, if your visa has been revoked it means you're out of status, but you can confirm this with an immigration lawyer.

Hi Rahul,
I am in the same situation. I didnot even get any revocation email but got to know that my visa was silently revoked when applied for H1 COS. Do my F1 visa revocation effect my Canada PR. My F1 visa is no longer valid as the tenure was completed by Nov 2020. I am currently staying in USA in legal status but my visa is revoked? Would it effect my PR application? What happened in your case, Any updates will be greatly appreciated.

Hi am571, Any update on your application if you applied?
Hi Sandy,
I don’t have any update yet but I guess it shouldn’t be a problem as long as you declare it in your application (if asked).
As far as I know, only questions that we have to answer in the Canada visa application relating to our immigration history is regarding any visa refusal or deportation from any country.
And I don't think that visa revocation is counted as a refusal.

How are you on the legal status if your f1 visa is revoked? You have started accruing illegal presence here.

Visa revocation is a big deal. What the hell are you talking about? Visa is revoked if you are found doing misrepresentation. One must be associated with these fraud companies https://www.am22tech.com/f1-visa-revoked-opt-fraud-news/
