Today I received passport back with visa stamped and 2 copies of COPR (** sign of relief**).... I want to thank this forum for it's wisdom and sharing my COPR journey below. Best of luck everyone!!!!!

PNP (OINP) - Outland (COR - USA)
AOR:Sep 21
GU 1: I might have missed it
Biometric request: Oct 29
Biometric completed: nov 13
GU 2: Nov 24, Application updated but no real update
GU 3: Dec 9th, Application updated but no real update
PPR email: Dec 10, no update in the profile just an email "Ready for Visa/ Prét pour Visa"
Passport submitted via fed ex: Dec 11
PR approved CF created: Dec 14, again no update via email
Email confirmation for profile update: Dec 15th, application approved which I already saw a day earlier
Return label activated: Dec 18th late afternoon
Passport delivered Dec 19th afternoon

COPR issued till Medical validity for me it's Aug 2021

Raised 2 webform during my process:
1. To check if they have received medical info
2. Change of employment during the process

Things I learned: To create return ship label before going to the fed ex location.

Good , I guess application was moved quickly because it was already validated for securing the PNP Approval. For non PNP - FSW-O applications , it will be difficult to complete it within 3 months timeline. Congratulations and best of luck for future !!!

I don’t think that’s true. Me too have a PNP and AOR around the same time. But there’s been no progress since an update on the biometrics and medical. Similar situation for other PNP based applicants.

Can you tell me what is the procedure to be followed if the name on passport is updated after getting COPR but the COPR is not yet activated since landing can not be done?

You can send a webform and request that your name be updated in your COPr. The name as to appears in your COPR when activated will be used to reflect on all your Canadian documents. If you get it changed after your have your driving license, PR card, you will have to follow procedure for the Province you are in:

The passport given name is updated from A B to A(i.e. middle name is dropped); ircc is informed by raising the webform and uploading the scanned copies of new passport (with given name A), old cancelled passport (with given name AB), a one and same person affidavit (as a linking document), one/two public documents in India with name A (as additional proof) and a LOE.

• What other documents would be needed to be uploaded?
• How long does it usually take for ircc to update the file after raising a webform for such a change?

Later after such a change in passport details, when the biometrics resume for express entry applicants, and I go to submit biometrics with both passports (old and new) and BIL(which has given name A B), then do you think there would be any issue during biometrics submission or would it be denied? What care/documents should I take to be able to submit biometrics?
Or in such a scenario, does ircc issue a new BIL to match the updated name on passport?

I have exactly the same AOR date as you, the same eligibility pass date, the same VO, and I got the same status from the agent couple of weeks back. There's nothing more to do at this stage, we just need to wait it out till they complete the rest of the process. Profile won't show any change for Eligibility till the whole process is complete.

Anywhere from weeks to several months. There's no way anyone can predict this. Each file moves at its own pace depending on the workload of the VO, the case officer etc. So we can merely wait and watch.

What is your BG on myIRCC account? And will they send our file to regional office or they will complete the process at CPC Ottawa?
