PLEASE GUIDE
I have completed my graduation in 2016 with 56%.
I had 13 backlogs in first 3 semesters and last 3 were all clear.
I have got 7.5 band score in IELTS.
My questions are:
What are my chances?
Where should I apply?
Is backlog certificate necessary for college or embassy or both?
Help please

Hello,

I don't know about colleges, but for universities, most of them will accept consolidated transcripts which can mask your backlogs. Few universities like University of Windsor and University of Alberta need all of your marksheets.

Also, try applying to a universities instead of colleges, chances of VISA approval are much higher for universities.

I too have poor academics, 49.5% in bachelors and 60% in master's. Even my chances are low, but I am still applying for universities as I want better education. Both of our chances are low, but with a strong SOP and good work experience, it might be possible.

I am not 100% sure, I think backlog certificate won't be necessary. But don't take my word for it.

For VISA you need to give all your marksheets. And you will need to convince the VISA officer that your poor past performance won't hold you back in your SOP.

1. low percentage is an issue. You need to make sure that you have above-average marks in your core studies.
2. How many attempts you made to clear all those 13 backlogs? because the no. of attempts you made to clear one subject = Total no. of backlogs you have.
3. your chances are very less for Famous and prestigious universities and also for college like Centennial, Humber, George Brown. Most of the college in Canada accept no more than 8 backlogs.
4. You have a decent score for IELTS. you can apply for visa with strong Sop.
5. backlogs certificate is not necessary for visa application.

Also the certificate provided by colleges doesn't states the attempts I made to clear individual subjects but whole semester

Guys, I have for one module 5 and other module 5,5, rest above 6.
I have a letter of acceptance. from the college .
What is my possibility to apply for work permit? Since my college accepted my current IELTS score and passed their entrance test, should I worry about IELTS?

I have a feeling that this IELTS score is too low. You can face rejection from the VISA officer.

Even if you do get accepted, you would find it tough to survive and complete education in an English speaking country. That's the reason why VOs tend to reject low IELTS scores. Try to improve your English.
