Could you please share your consultant's mistake on the letter employment.
Hi! My letter of employment did not contain any job duties. Oficer wrote that they were not able to find any job duties which are relevant to my NOC code and refused me. The most important document for CEC stream was comletely screwed up. My employer could prepare another letter and it never was an issue. The issue was that my consultant was Ok with this simple letter.
For my secondary application my employer provided the explicit letter. I also composed a big cover letter , where I came through all CEC requiremens and proved that I comply to them. The most recent update on my case (I spoke with agent a couple of days ago), that I passed eligibility stage, so they were satisfied with my new letters. My file got stuck on criminality check. I am assuming this is because of late biometrics (I did it on Nov 30) and outland dependents.
Do not deal with consultants! And even if you do, do not blindly trust them. Verify every step.

Hi there. A friend of mine got his AOR in March 2020. Submitted his Biometrics in the first week of November. Still waiting for Co-PR. He has a special situation. Has to travel outside of canada for 3 weeks in January. He was told he needs to be in canada to confirm the Co-PR. Does anyone have an idea of the time given to confirm the residency once the email is sent?

@legalfalcon relying on you for this one.

Good to be back in the forum after a 3 year hiatus :)

I can't understand why he needs to be in Canada to confirm COPR?! it means we should not travel outside Canada when we have a PR application in process? Can someone explain?

I think currently the situation is if you are in Canada you get COPR without any formal Landing requirement in Canada. But if you travel outside the authorities expect you to do landing at an airport or border crossing to get Permanent Resident Status.

If an applicant is not in Canada, they can request IRCC to allow them to summit their passport in the country they are in. Alternatively, you can return back to Canada and complete the formalities.

Hello Guys.
My situation is Aor March 2020- CEC inland.
I passed all stages EXCEPT criminality in June 2020. Finally gave Bio in October 2020. No movement on file since then.

Is there anyone else with a similar situation - Stuck with Crimilaity Under process even after giving bio?

Thanks

Do you get an update when your application is approved? Is COPR just a formality once the application is approved?

I got an update when my application was approved in Nov 4th but they did not issue the COPR till Dec 24th and without the COPR you can submit passport for your PR card or being able to apply for SIN no cahnge.
