Hello Everyone, hope you're doing well.

I have couple of questions, appreciate your views.

For Me:-
1) I've got READY FOR VISA email last night. Next, are we just expected to drop an email to PassportSubmission@vfshelpline.com?
2) Is there a specific format that needs to be followed? Or is it something similar to "please provide instructions for two way courier service?"

For my parents:
My parents got their PPR (visitor visa) on 3rd December. The very same day we sent an email to VFS but till date we haven't heard back from them. How long does it usually take to get a reply back from VFS?
Is there anything that can be done to expedite ? We have sent out 4 chasers already on our initial email but nothing back from VFS.
Congratulations!
May I know who was your review officer (as per GCMS notes)?

Hello @legalfalcon

I have received an answer to my webform today stating: The security background verification is currently valid.

In a previous webform response it stated that The security background verification is in process.

Does this mean that my security is passed? Knowing that my eligibility and criminality has been passed as per my GCSM notes.

Thank you !

Congratulations again buddy :)

If anybody can share some info about the question asked here regarding VFS passport submission will be very helpful!!

Hey guys,

I just got a request letter from the CIC stating:

"As you have resided in the USA for 6 months or more, you must provide a scanned copy of an original FBI clearance certificate."

I had already sent the FBI clearance certificate when I had applied back in January 2020 - my AOR is of January 25, 2020. I know that it has been more than 6 months since my AOR, but is it normal to get a request a second time?

Was your criminality still pending? Which VO is this? I have heard about this once before. Unfortunately, if they have requested for it, you have no option but to provide them with a new certificate. Don't worry, there's probably nothing abnormal with your application, could have been asked at the officer's discretion.

Well yes, the only thing that showed as 'done' in the portal were the Biometrics and Medical. Everything else was shown as pending. I do not know what my VO is - how do I check? :)

There should be no issues uploading the PDF version of the letter that the FBI sends, right? Or do I need to scan the physical letter that I get in the mail?

The PDF version has worked. But I'm not sure for if they have specifically asked for .scanned copy of an original FBI clearance certificate, you should probably do just that. You may ask legalfalcon to be sure.

You can check the VO and even the latest status of eligibility, criminality and security via a webform or by ordering GCMS notes. The portal doesn't reflect the three statuses accurately.

YEs, your security has passed. If the webform response states that the verifications are currently valid, “valid” here indicates, that the documents required for the specific stage are “legal, not expired, and accepted by IRCC,” and no further input is required by the applicant. The security background verification is currently valid. This does mean that your security has concluded and passed. You don't need Gcms Notes again just to validate as the web form response here is good enough. All the best
