I applied closed work permit extension last Oct 22 using my old passport with expiry date Jan 14, 2021. My work permit extension application is still on process.Today, I received a renewed passport with longer expiry date till year 2030. How will I inform IRCC that I already got a new passport to avoid receiving a work permit extension with short validity date of Jan 14 2020 only w/c is the expiry date of my old passport?I applied for extension immediately although I am aware that my.passport will soon expire so I can be on implied status.But due to covid, passport renewal will take longer and just received it today.Can I use Webform to inform IRCC for them to update my file? This way I can get a longer work permit extension of 2 years instead of just a month.Your inputs are appreciated

I have heard they can refuse your work permit application also if the passport expiry is near, then you will have to apply again with a new passport. My case has the same twist,OWP is still processing, been 90 days now. Submitted the new passport via Webform.
