COPR approved after March 18, 2020

IRCC instructions are not very clear. However, foreign nations who can travel is clearly mentioned in the list:

For workers the rules are as follows:

Just because an applicant has a COPR and a job offer does not make him exempt from travelling to Canada, unless the applicant is resident of US. However, there have been accounts from applicants who claim to have entered Canada with an expired COPR, with no authorisation letter, I just see them as anecdotal.

But work permit holders are travelling, even I have my some of the known who has recently traveled to Canada on work permit from non US countries. Even CIC website says work permit holders are exempted from travel restrictions. So my point who is nominated from PNP has work permit support letter and nomination letter on top of that has COPR and PVR, does he need work permit, I belive no because COPR holder don't need separate work permit. So if the skills are essential they are exempted to travel too.

As legalfalcon said the information is vague and contradictory in many aspects. I think its best to drop a request for AL to ircc before traveling.

Even in this forum, there is the person who received COPR in the month of Oct 2020 has traveled, but he also requested work permit before he got PPR. My doubt is not related to travel it is only related to work permit needed or not. He is also PNP nominated.

Dont know...i also dont want to gamble it, getting denied at the immigration is a big issue lol

So i think we will just wait for our counterfoil to be expired? before writing webform again..then hope to receive remedicals or resubmission of passports, ...the uncertainty!!!

You could retry submitting forms. And yes it is the risk we face at this time of uncertainty. Please remember take all advises with reservations and do your own research.

You are correct, and straight answer would be no. you cant travel. But with the exemptions you could, provided if your job is in the exempted list. Also linking someones answer to these question in different thread for anyone to refer to. (for copr holders post 18th march 2020)

Me and my wife have got a COPR expiring 1st April 2021. If we have to travel before that date, then we need to plan travel now itself! - We have to quit our jobs and serve the notice period for 2-3 months. This puts us in a dilemma. No-one knows when the travel will be eased. We want to plan only after things are clear from travel perspective. Do you think COPR can be extended?
