I got a work permit approved dec 27 last year. They likely only really close on the actual holidays.Anyone knows how long IRCC shuts down for during holiday season? The whole week from Christmas to New Years?
This way at least I won't check the online portal every two hours for a ghost update during that week lol
Every two hours?? Am exhausted from the daily one time check.Anyone knows how long IRCC shuts down for during holiday season? The whole week from Christmas to New Years?

For how long is the VISA valid? Does it have anything to do with the expiry of the medical? Are you exempted from traveling to Canada now? Which country did you apply from? which stream? My timelines:

ah yeah I remember, you're from Niagra Falls office as well, even though my primary office is CIO Sydney and looks like they are working but they are not touching my file at all. Hope you will get yours soon as being in the US, there's more hope as travel restriction is not applied to you. Fingers crossed! Not alone. Nov 2, 2019 Aor. Eveything done (file approved/finalized on Aug 2020) just waiting for PPR. Medicals expired on Nov 25th & no sign of update. I'm in the US tho.
I raised a webform a few weeks ago and their response was quite generic ( like these recent months) but will try to send one now just to ask about medical, will update you guys later and yeah hang in there, at least I know I'm not the only oneHi same for me. Nov Aor 2019 file approved as per gcms and my medical expired in November so I raised a webform and got this:
‘We verified the information on file and we are pleased to inform you that everything appears to be in order with the application. The medical results on valid have been extended and are valid until 2021/04/30.’
Although on my profile it’s yet to be updated but at least I know it has been extended. I think you should send a webform, I know quite a number of people with November who found out about their extension this way and it’s still not showing in their profile as well.
All the best. Hang in there, it’ll be over soon.
