I am in NS as well and got tired of waiting for Atlantic bubble to come back so I went to Ontario and got it done the next day. Suggest u do the same.

I called Public Health Ontario and they said I don’t need to isolate for 14 days as what I am coming for (medical reasons) is an exception.
Thanks for the info. I’m trying NB first to see what theor wait times are. After that i might goto montreal or Ontario. Being in the middle of a pandemic and holiday season on top of that does not help.

One hospital at NB has an earlier date but u have to isolate there...anyway choice is yours.

Both, actually. My sponsor received the AOR to their e-mail over the weekend but the PR application did not link to GCKey until today. I didn't think my OWP would link but I decided to try for the sake of it and the application linked.
I sent my OWP application directly to the Edmonton office.

Note that only my OWP application was returned; my PR application went through. For those who had their whole application returned the process may be a little different.
Thanks for the info awthabit.

May I ask how you linked your OWP? I was under the impression that we had to receive an email from the Edmonton office acknowledging receipt of the OWP, and that they would send us a separate UCI# which we can use to link it. Did you just use the same UCI# associated with your PR application?

Hello,

I used the guide here: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/successfully-linking-spousal-pr-application-and-open-work-permit-sowp.582050/

This should work assuming you have your UCI. I used the same UCI from past applications. The only thing that i did different was for when it asks 'Which Situation Applies to the Applicant?' i put 'Applied for Permanent Residence as a spouse or common-law partner' instead of 'Spouse or Common-in-law partner of a skilled worker,' which is suggested in the guide.

let me know if that works.

Your earlier post inspired me to try linking my wife's application and it worked. Thanks!!

I linked it via her name/passport info and it found her OWP that I was able to link it to. I'm still surprised that we haven't received any emails about it; we were waiting for this before attempting to link.

The application is still processing (was received by them on Oct. 8th). Really hoping that they will finish the processing soon.

I hope you hear back from them soon as well. Best of luck!

Hi guys,I received an email from CIC last week, but I don’t know if the response is positive or negative.. please help!!

This refers to the Application for Permanent Residence you made under the Spouse or
Common-Law Partner in Canada Class.
We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada office in IRCC ETOBICOKE will contact you to arrange an appointment for the finalization of your permanent resident application.
IMPORTANT: You and your family members, if any, will be required to present original identification document(s) to the Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada office at your appointment. A final decision concerning the granting of permanent residence status will be made at that time. If permanent residence is granted, the name that will appear on the confirmation of permanent resident document is your name as it appears on your passport or identity documents. If your application includes accompanying dependant(s) residing outside of Canada, further instructions will be sent to you following the issuance of your permanent residence status.
Passport / Travel Document
You must bring your valid passport / travel document with you to your appoint

This means your app has been approved pending PR Card from your local immigration office.

When was your app received? And did u send it to CPC Mississauga or CPC Sydney?

Na bro, interviews are being skipped.

Click on the link below and stay up to date.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/pr-confirmation-portal.html

but I guess in this person’s situation, they might contact them and ask some interview questions or just contact them and inform them how to proceed with the new CoPR portal.
