Guys, some positive news over there: Citizenship tests set to resume online after 8-month suspension . Let's wait for official confirmation from IRCC.

Look at others who have been waiting since 2018 and it will probably soothe you a bit. Otherwise, there are no ideas, only hope.

I need one more clarification here.. when i called ircc to follow up on my application, she told that my application's criminality and security checks have been completed. but background check is not. what does that mean..? isn't the criminality and security check a part of the background check? can someone please clarify?

Background check consists of:

1) Security (CSIS)
2) Criminality (RCMP)
3) Immigration Clearance (CBSA and IRCC)
4) Residency obligation (CBSA and IRCC)
