Hi There,

I am planning for PGD certificate course in Fall 2020 looking out for 1+1 year program.

My query is if I apply for the 2nd year program while learning the 1st year (2nd year May 2022 intake will start admision from October 2021) do I need to pay full tuition fees immediately and also additionally make another GIC / show proof of funds for 2nd year living expenses.

I would be self sponsoring my 2nd year studies while earning part time during 1st year as in this situation I would have just started my living in Canada in Fall 2021 and I would require to pay approx 15 lakhs (9 lakhs tution fees + GIC/living expenses proof of funda) to get the extension for study permit.

Any one who has already been through similar situation, kindly share your experiences or suggestions because the courses I am looking for are not available for complete 2years so I have to look for 1+1 only.

Thank you for your answers and suggestions.

No need for GIC.
Just show that you have enough money in account.
As far as tuition goes, just pay first sem fees and rest show balance in your account.

Extensions aren't heavily scrutinised like initial SP's.
Now, becareful here, show you have enough money for living expenses+tuition.
Don't say on the app that you will be working PT to cover living expenses.

Thank you so much!

Just for clarification, does the college accepts split payments like just paying half because while applying through India we had to pay complete fees.

Also how much I need to show as proof of funds any approximate amount is been considered?

Oh yeah totally. You can pay semester by semester. Usually before start of a semester payment is due.
Now payments you can make as you wish, when my Fall sem started I paid like little by little, there's no need for one huge transaction.
