It still exists. I am using it. All the irrelevant discussions and their mention is ignored with a warning.
I can't view that guy's profile.. it says I need to upgrade.. without being able to view his profile, I don't know any other way to ignore him

I did put a ignore on him earlier but dunno how or why but its not working anymore

PS: Figured out how to ignore without upgrading.. Thanks

Hi Rahul,
Yes, I had submitted all relevant details such as my quarantine plan, proof of intention to settle, proof of funds, tentative travel itinerary etc.
If you haven’t received a job offer yet, the best response would be to provide your resignation letter, if you have already resigned or any other supporting which is convincing enough to show that you can easily get a job there.
Hi Sameera,
I replied to the willingness to travel email immediately on the next day (9th December). Today (12th December) my counterfoil details are updated in EE account with new counterfoil document numbers with extension upto 3rd Feb 2021. Just curious what happened in your case. For next step, we will be receiving AL or PPR?
Will keep you posted if I get any new information.....
Thank You!

I think it's a matter of opinion, don't think they'll ever cancel expired COPR because all said and done, Canada is a fair country. I've spoken to a lot of my friends there and the situation is grim, even survival level jobs which are the staple for most new immigrants and college students are very scarce. Given the sitaution, I think the government is doing the best it can, given the resources and information available at the time.

Yes, they are issuing new PRs but they aren't allowed to land yet. All in all, there are maybe 20-25k (upper limit or 6 rounds of 4k PRS) people with an expired COPR in the world which is a drop for the total number of immigrants Canada wishes to achieve. More than likely, we will be issued a blanket extension when all of this calms down.

As for the Chinese Visas, this is true all over the world. China and its' people have the most amount of money to invest, their ulterior motives maybe suspect but money is money and that is what countries need right now as they are stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Sorry for the long post, intention was not to argue or preach but when you said "Don't be surprised when they start cancelling expired/rejecting COPR for some flimsy reasons " it rubbed me off the wrong way.

Unfortunately, no one of us is the center of the IRCC universe right now irrespective of the problems we each have due to this situation. The pandemic was unprecedented and no country in the world was equipped to deal with it, Canada included.
Well said @kpatel1988. I would just not agree on 1 point. Stopping people from not coming to Canada seeing the job scenario and everything else is good for those who are coming as a family together or single applicant without any close/immediate relative in Canada but it is not fair for the people like me who are already here and waiting for our spouse/family to come.
Government should have fast processed or prioritized spousal/immediate family expired COPR.

Anyways, just my thought. Delaying expired COPR for family even after saying that they are prioritizing it does not make sense to me now.

Nothing against you, it was just my feeling.

Hey Rahul,
Congratulations!!!
I have few questions:
1. When did your visa expire?
2. Did you go for re-med?
3. When did you send your RTT web-form?
4. Can you see your new old COPR or its only new?

Thanks in advance

adding to what @kpatel1988 said..
I'm sure a lot of you have read this.. still sharing the link: https://www.cicnews.com/2020/12/approved-permanent-residents-still-blocked-from-coming-to-canada-1216493.html#gs.nfucky

Highlighting imp points as per Dec 2nd:
-The immigration department did not start issuing authorization letters until September
-As of November 30, there were about 500 letters issued to principal applicants to extend their expired COPRs, which represents a total of 840 people
-since the fall, IRCC contacted 6,000 expired-COPR holders and there were 4,000 people left to contact

so I think the intent is well there.. the execution is messed up.. all we can do is be positive and wait.
