Hi all, my medicals had expired in May. However my application currently shows my medicals status as passed on 8 Dec 2020. Is this an indication that my medicals have been extended and by how long will IRCC normally extend a medical result?

Yes, this indicates your medical has been extended from December 8th... IRCC normally extends for 6 - 12 months ..

Hello everyone, please for those of you that have submitted your passports to VFS, how long did it take to get a confirmation from them. I sent mine on Monday, it was delivered to VFS at about noon on Tuesday, but I am yet to get any correspondence from VFS.

I sent them a mail after about a week, they responded after 3days with my tracking code. 2weeks later, got a mail from IRCC notifying the approval and counterfoil.

Okay .. that means you got your counterfoil update three weeks after your document got to VFS, right?

Okay .. that means you got your counterfoil update three weeks after your document got to VFS, right?

When I got my passports request letter in mid November, an additional letter was included which was a letter of approval stating that a copr has been issued and a PRV counterfoil. Since i submitted passports, there has been no updates on any counterfoil

My email from IRCC said the counter foil and CoPR was issued when they requested for my passport. Isn’t that the same for everyone?

Yes it is, but when you also submit your passport you get a generic message that makes it seem like your passport already has the visa on it and is ready for pick up.

Thanks for this even though it wasn't intended for me. I was confused cos the e-mail from VFS stated my application is in transit but when I checked my tracking number on VFS website the same day, the status was 'Visa application, tracking ID No...... Your processed passport has been received at the Canada Visa Application Centre, on 2020/12/.. and is ready for collection. It's good to know it's a generic message.
