what is LMIA file number and how it's look like

I just want know what is LMIA file number and what are the contents in the file number(If anybody know about this please let me know), My employee said he's charged 1000CAD from his account on 31st oct 2014, And he got the file number from cic on 27th november 2014. I am confushed whether he's cheating me or he's telling me the truth, Because I allready waited too long for this process(almost 1year 6 months).......thanks and regards tomts

Its normally up to the employer to pay the LMIA fees and not the employee. However he or she could be speaking the truth if got the file number that long ago this process should almost be over. As far as im concerned you get the file number right after you have been charged not sure though, maybe some more experienced members of this forum can assist you more than I can.

Lmia applications done before 2015 are way too slow. They are rapid fast in 2015. I got mine approved in 4 weeks

I can't see any point of processing in such a manner. Should be FIFO not LIFO.

I've been waiting for LMIA since the beginning of September 2014. Still no feedback from SC.
