Hi everyone!

I have a question regarding the "visa refusal or ordered to leave a country before"

So my husband is the primary applicant and upon filling out my section there was this question.
I'm in France since 2010 and until 2016 I was here without a valid permit and during my residency card application in 2013 I had an OQTF (obligation to leave the french territory) because my working hours were short - not for a crime or something and this OQTF was deleted after I had my residency card in 2016.

So I should answer "yes" to this question but will it affect our application negatively?

Thank you in advance

If in doubt, it's always better to say Yes and then explain this situation. Your application should not be affected in a negative way if you declare this.

You got an official obligation de quitter le territoire which is exactly.. What they re asking... You can take the risk to hide it...but who knows the connections Ircc has with France?... Since France has close relationship with Quebec....

the thing is I don’t have the letter anymore
I have no traces of it just a word from an immigration officer that it has been lifted and I even manage to renew my residency card since with no issues.
i will just say yes and write a letter of explanation, would that be enough ?

We already marked yes as an answer. The problem is I no longer have the letter in my possession and I only have a word from the immigration officer that they lifted it.
